00:33So now, let's go back to the iconic moments of GILAS, along with their new relationship with FIBA Asia Cup Qualifiers.
00:42Before the name GILAS Pilipinas was formed in 2009, The Islanders represented the Philippines in the Berlin Summer Olympics in 1936.
00:52It was the pioneer team in Asia in the field of basketball, which was ranked 5th place.
00:59In 1946, Koponan was known as the RP5 or RP team, and now, it has become famous in the country as GILAS Pilipinas.
01:10In the 2013 FIBA Asia Cup, GILAS made history by winning the silver medal.
01:17Finally, they were able to cut the curse of South Korea.
01:21It was followed by their first World Cup win against Senegal in 2014, within 40 years.
01:29In 2018, the Filipino-American Jordan Clarkson of GILAS started the flag of the first time in the 2018 Asian Games.
