00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., who is a productive man,

00:03was talking on the phone with US President-elect Donald Trump.

00:08Because of this, the executive board decided to strengthen the relationship between the two countries.

00:20President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. reiterated the commitment of the Philippines

00:25to strengthen the alliance of the country and the United States.

00:28He asked the President to come to a phone call with US President-elect Donald Trump,

00:33which he described as a productive conversation.

00:35The President and Trump had a chance to discuss the deepening of the relationship between the two countries,

00:41which he has been strengthening for a long time.

00:44We continued to discuss the alliance between the United States and the Philippines.

00:55And I expressed to him our continuing desire to strengthen that relationship between our two countries,

01:08which is a relationship that is as deep as can possibly be, because it has been for a very long time.

01:16The executive board also supported the support given to Trump by the Filipinos in the US

01:21and hoped that they would have a chance to talk in person.

01:25I also reminded the President-elect that the Filipinos in America overwhelmingly voted for Trump.

01:36I'm sure he will remember that when we met.

01:43I plan to meet him soon.

01:46He said maybe he's already in the White House before I can go.

01:53The President and Trump did not discuss the position of the Filipino immigrants there,

01:57but he is currently being supported by the Philippine ambassador in the US.

02:01The executive board also hoped that they will work with Trump in the coming months

02:06to ensure peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.

02:10I expressed to him our continuing desire to strengthen that relationship between our two countries,

02:21which is a relationship that is as deep as can possibly be, because it has been for a very long time.

02:29Meanwhile, the President hopes that Ukraine will have a long-term peace

02:34while remembering the 1,000 days of chaos in the country.

02:39The President also gave support to the Philippines in advancing sovereignty, freedom,

02:44unity, and territorial integrity of Ukraine.

02:47He was the first to send a letter to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky last June.

02:52The President asked that the chaos be over and that the country will have peace.

02:58Especially since Ukraine is considered a partner of the country

03:00and he is confident that the relationship between the two countries will be stronger in the coming times.
