00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcus Jr. is confident the country's relations with the U.S. will
00:05remain strong under the leadership of President-elect Donald Trump.
00:10The chief executive emphasized the U.S. is the nation's longest treaty partner and a
00:15change in U.S. leadership will not alter the two countries' ties.
00:19While it may be too early to talk about the future of relations between the two nations,
00:24President Marcus Jr. is optimistic no major changes will occur.
00:29Furthermore, President Marcus Jr. recently congratulated President-elect Donald Trump
00:33and expressed readiness to deepen ties.
00:36Defense and security, trade and investment, and renewable energy are part of the strengthened
00:41cooperation between the U.S. and the Philippines.
00:46I don't think it will change the global forces that are, and they are our oldest treaty partner
00:59that doesn't change.
01:01So I will have to see if there is a major change, but I don't think so.
