00:00The default strategy and mantra in times when nature goes rogue or nasty, all hands on deck.
00:07But for exceptionally unusual times like this, one when six episodes of storms, cyclones,
00:14and all their byproducts hit the country in a span of two and a half weeks,
00:19it goes to more hands needed and then some.
00:22With three nasty weather episodes hitting the country in a span of a little over a week,
00:27the Department of Social Welfare and Development has gone from heightened response mode to overdrive.
00:34The massive food repacking operations in Pasay City and Cebu have been just biffed up by a third production hub,
00:42meaning more pairs of hands have joined to help in the massive task of repacking and prepping family food bags.
00:49As of today, roughly 18,000 family food bags have been deployed to Regions 1, 2, 3,
00:56the Bicol Region, and Cordilleras.
00:59Likewise, the DSWD has dispatched its mobile command centers in the areas forecast to be in Pipito's path
01:08to ensure communication lines are open in the aftermath.
01:14The maximum daily output of this production hub is 15,000.
01:20As Sask mentioned earlier, we have a partnership with the Dole Tupad Program
01:25and we have additional manpower in our production hub.
01:31We are really adding our stockpiles as a response and preparation.
