00:26president laid out in the country's pivot to risk mitigation and disaster
00:31resilience following the devastation of typhoons Christine and Leon in some
00:39parts of the country president Ferdinand R Marcus jr. assured disaster risk
00:43reduction and response will receive greater attention whether at the local
00:47or national government level the president emphasized it needs to be
00:50further strengthened especially with the effects of climate change being more
00:54pronounced and tangible this requires the development of flood control systems
00:58after being overwhelmed by recent typhoons
01:24The administration also aims to address the challenges of climate change.
01:49The chief executive also pointed out that political affiliation should never
01:53interfere in times of calamity instead cooperation should be paramount he
01:57assured the government and its agencies will continue to provide assistance to
02:01those affected.
02:15The president also encouraged the public to pray for those affected by the recent
02:19typhoons.
02:32The DSWD and DILG had previously assured the government has sufficient funds
02:36allocated for immediate aid to those affected by calamities.
