00:05to ask for help from farmers and fishermen affected by Hurricane Christine and Leone.

00:15Marvin can't be helped from his own farm.

00:19He was hit by a strong wind brought by Hurricane Christine.

00:26Of course, we'll do everything to make up for his calamity.

00:32To help Marvin and other farmers and fishermen who were victims of the calamity,

00:37President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. brought more than 46 million pesos worth of financial assistance

00:43to the people of Oriental Mindoro.

00:46Almost 5,000 farmers and fishermen who were affected by Hurricane Christine and Leone

00:51were able to receive financial assistance from the President himself,

00:55which is worth 10,000 pesos each.

00:58From the President's assistance,

01:00we will distribute financial assistance worth 10,000 pesos

01:07to almost 5,000 beneficiaries.

01:14This is to help you with other needs.

01:20Fellow countrymen,

01:21the distribution of this financial assistance is a sign of our commitment to each other

01:27that no matter what happens,

01:29we will always help each other.

01:32The recovery from this disaster is in the hands of each and every one of us.

01:38This financial assistance is said to be of great benefit to the beneficiaries,

01:42especially to their livelihood.

01:44I would like to thank the President for this financial assistance.

02:11The President acknowledged the efforts of each and every one of us

02:14to help those affected by the hurricane.

02:16His victims also gained resilience.

02:19That is why he insisted that although the arrival of hurricanes in the country will not be stopped,

02:24he is facing it with the help of the government

02:27to reduce the effect of calamity.

02:29As part of the DILG and DNR's order

02:32to use a geo-hazard map

02:34to identify areas affected by landslides

02:38so that residents can be immediately evacuated to safe areas.

02:41The President asked the residents affected by landslides.

02:45I urge our fellow countrymen to follow the instructions of your local government

02:51for your safety.

02:53Especially for those who need to be evacuated.

02:57We know that it is difficult to leave your homes.

03:00But do not hesitate to evacuate

03:06if this will save your lives.

03:09He also urged the DPWH, DOTR, DOST, and DTI

03:14to study and examine the roads, roads and other structures

03:18to ensure their quality, safety, and readiness for the changing times.

03:24The Chief Executive also ordered the review of the Flood Control Master Plan.

03:32We have flood control.

03:34But because there is more rainwater,

03:50so that we can continue to fight against hurricanes.

04:01Aside from assistance from the Office of the President,

04:04the Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation also issued an indemnity check

04:08worth more than Php 683,000.

04:12According to the DA, Php 328,000,000 was estimated

04:16to be the total amount of land left by Hurricane Christine and León

04:20in the province of Oriental Mindoro.
