69-year-old woman Rosemary Franzidis was killed in a horrific car crash and has been remembered as a much-loved wife, mother, and grandmother. The teenage boy allegedly behind the wheel of the stolen car involved has been charged with her manslaughter.

00:31Two alleged stolen cars roaming the streets yesterday morning
00:36before one is accused of causing a devastating crash.
00:40I just heard the cars, so I can see them from where I was sitting,
00:44and they were flying.
00:46And they were tailgating each other as they were going down the road.
00:49The blue Audi collided with Ms Franzites' car at a Marumba Downs intersection,
00:54killing the 69-year-old.
00:57It's alleged the 16-year-old boy behind the wheel
01:00had earlier carjacked the vehicle from another woman at gunpoint.
01:04She recounted the terrifying ordeal to friends.
01:08She texted us and said,
01:10I'm OK, however, I am really struggling,
01:15and I don't want to talk to anyone.
01:18The Premier has confirmed the government's flagship
01:21adult crime, adult time legislation will not be retrospective
01:25and won't apply to the teenager.
01:27He's facing manslaughter, which, under the proposed laws,
01:30would make him automatically eligible for a maximum life sentence
01:34if found guilty.
01:36Our commitment is to have those laws pass
01:39in the second sitting of the Parliament,
01:41and they will be gazetted as soon as practicable
01:44to make sure that they're laws by Christmas.
01:46The teenager did not appear in court today.
01:48The matter was adjourned until next month.
