00:00The task force formed by the Department of Justice or DOJ has begun investigating alleged
00:06extrajudicial killings during the Duterte's administration's war on drugs.
00:11Pursuant to Department Order No. 778 signed by Justice Secretary Jesus Crispi Remullia,
00:16the task force is directed to probe, conduct case buildups, file necessary charges,
00:22and hold accountable those persons potentially involved in the extrajudicial killings.
00:28The task force will also assist in the ongoing investigation being conducted by Congress.
00:33Meanwhile, the newly appointed Deputy Prosecutor General of the National Persecution Office,
00:38Richard Fadulyon, stated that the investigation will not focus on any specific case.
00:44They may look into all extrajudicial killings cases from the past 20 years.
00:51Prescriptive period is 20 years. There's nothing which will prevent us from looking into cold
00:55cases. Cases which were probably filed as complaints before law enforcement but never
01:01reached the prosecution office. So these are cases that we can possibly look into together
01:05with the current leadership of the DILG.
