00:00For former top cops who are now subjects of an ongoing probe because of claims from a Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation

00:08or PAGCOR official of corruption and aiding a fugitive, it is only fair the allegation be substantiated and the actual culprit named.

00:18Despite this very damaging controversy, the current National Police Chief assured the morale of the police remains high.

00:25Danielle Manalastas tells us more.

00:30Twenty-four former chiefs of the Philippine National Police are under investigation over allegations one of them might have helped dismiss Mayor Alice Goh flee the country.

00:41During the DILG budget hearing, PNP Chief Romel Marbil voiced out his sentiments.

00:47We're not happy with what he said. Since he's under oath, he has to tell us because it affects the whole organization.

00:54Remember, it's not the whole organization that PNP announced. It's the peace and order that was affected by what he said.

01:01Just imagine, a former chief PNP doesn't mean we allow it to the lowest among us.

01:07In light of these allegations, what could be the status of PNP morale?

01:12PNP is high. With all our accomplishments, we're not affected because it's just a job done by the Philippine National.

01:22During the budget hearing of the DILG, Senators sought the latest developments in Sulu.

01:27In the wake of the Supreme Court's decision to exclude the island province from the BARMM.

01:32We know that the DILG workers in Sulu lost their salaries on September 10. Can we cut them?

01:44Again, Mr. Chair, we were shocked by what happened in Sulu because the BARMM suddenly removed them.

01:51The Supreme Court said this should be immediately executed.

01:55That's why we coordinated with the Ministry of the Interior and the local government of BARMM.

02:01Maybe, for the meantime, we can change the status quo.

02:05The DILG is currently finalizing the DILG comments on the budgetary issues and concerns of the exclusion of the province of Sulu in the BARMM.

02:19Meanwhile, despite calls to abolish the NTF-ELCAC, Government's Counter Insurgency Program, Secretary Abalos said,

02:27For me, they should not continue this. They should be stronger and more focused.

02:33So that they can show that they are not blaming each other.

02:36They should believe that they are living a new life.

02:39I don't know the position of the Makabayang Black.

02:43What I can say is that the people are turning their backs.

02:47Whatever they did against the government, and this is armed rebellion.

02:53They took weapons to fight the government, and now they are turning their backs.

02:58We should embrace them.

03:01Meanwhile, during the budget deliberations on the Bureau of Fire Protection, the group bared a wish list.
