00:19Sir, please explain to us the effects of the Baguio-Leon in Cagayan.

00:25What are the provinces' actions to provide assistance to the affected areas of Baguio?

00:35As for Typhoon Leon,

00:38the affected areas received signal number 3,

00:42the northeastern tip of the province, the municipality of Santa Ana and Huatsaga,

00:48of which yesterday, the municipalities experienced 80 to 100 kilometers per hour

00:57gustiness and heavy to intense rain.

01:05We also had a storm surge in these two municipalities up to the municipality of Aparia,

01:14the coastal municipalities as warned by DOS Dipagasa.

01:25Because of the advisories from DOS Dipagasa,

01:31out of 11 coastal municipalities, 9 of which were affected.

01:38Just a follow-up question.

01:41Given what you have described,

01:43how many individuals or families are in the evacuation center and what are their needs now?

01:55As of noon yesterday, we evacuated 8,000 individuals in 9 municipalities of Cagayan.

02:10As to their needs,

02:14after Tropical Storm Christine,

02:18the stockpile of our local government units did not move much.

02:24So, this is enough to support the needs of our evacuees.

02:32Sir, can we also ask for an update on the food prepositions as you have mentioned?

02:41Is this enough for now and how long will this last?

02:49Yes, ma'am.

02:51Maybe if the sunny day continues and clear skies,

02:56we can send them back home before nightfall.

03:05So, how is the situation in terms of infrastructure?

03:10Do you have an assessment on the damaged houses?

03:25We have a rapid damage assessment ongoing right now for the affected and for the damages of Tropical Storm Leon.

03:40So far, the local government units have not given us any feedback on the rapid damage assessment that we are doing.

03:52Sir, how is the line of communication between your province regarding water and electricity?

04:01Yes, even though Tropical Storm Leon is still flooding yesterday,

04:07we have no interruption in our communications.

04:13We also do not have a problem with water.

04:17There were interruptions by five municipalities because the NGCP line tripped in Magapit,

04:25but it was restored after two hours.

04:29So, until now, we do not have a problem with any of the lifelines.

04:33Maybe, sir, this is just a message and a reminder to your constituents and to our affected countrymen

04:43if there is a particular need that you want to call on the government.

05:19However, when we declared under state of calamity of Tropical Storm Leon and followed by Tropical Storm Christine,

05:29our quick response fund was depleted.

05:33On the damages of Tropical Storm Leon, we may not be able to use our quick response fund.

05:41We will be requesting a replenishment from the NDRMC for the replenishment of the quick response fund.
