00:00A few barangays in Batoc, Camarines Sur were also hit by the next wave of Hurricane Christine.

00:05Three people were killed there due to drowning.

00:16Rafi, I'm here in the middle of a road in Batoc, Camarines Sur.

00:21But Rafi, as you can see, there's a house in the middle of the road.

00:24Residents say that this house was originally built in that area, in their flood control area.

00:33But it was hit by a huge wave, Rafi.

00:36That's why even the houses next to it in the coastal area were all destroyed.

00:42Rafi, in their municipality, all the documents were submerged.

00:47That's why the municipality is currently sorting out which documents will be used.

00:54The documents of their local civil registrar were also destroyed.

00:59Rafi, more than 10 barangays in the town of Batoc were also flooded.

01:03According to Domingo Finular, the Executive Assistant of the Mayor of the town,

01:09the communities in Lake Batoc were affected by the flood.

01:13Coastal barangays were affected by the sudden rise in the water level.

01:18Landslides also hit three barangays in the mountainous area.

01:23Rafi, 1,500 barangays were destroyed and 1,000 were damaged.

01:31That's why the residents are hoping for help.

01:35The Rural Health Officer of the town is continuously checking up on the residents,

01:39especially those who are in need and those who have children.

01:41Rafi, there's a shortage of medicines because their RHU building was also submerged.

01:46They are calling on the DOH to send more medicines.

01:49Yesterday, the prophylaxis against leptospirosis was used up.

01:54Only a few pieces of their anti-tetanus vaccine were used for the wounded,

01:58especially now that the residents and three people who were seen dead in this town due to the flood.

02:05According to the residents, the water level is low and it's estimated that it's only one foot per day.

02:11Hopefully, there will be a long-term project to deepen the Bicol River and Lake Bato

02:18and to have a channel to let the water out of Ragay Gulf.

02:23So Rafi, our fellow countrymen are still asking for help here in Bayan ng Bato.
