00:00The Department of Trade and Industry, or DTI, assured assistance will be given to businesses
00:05that were affected by severe tropical storm Christine. DTI Secretary Christina Roque said
00:122 billion pesos have been allotted to help micro, small and medium enterprises, or MSMEs,
00:19recover from the damage caused by the latest weather disturbance. The Trade and Industry
00:24Secretary said the assistance will come from the Small Business Corporation's loan programs.
00:31Qualified MSMEs can borrow up to 300,000 pesos, which has zero interest in the first year
00:39and 1% monthly interest rate for the remaining two years.
00:54There's a constant supply of food and constant supply of basic necessities that are needed
01:02by the people that are in the provinces or towns that are affected by the storm. So we
01:09are on top of this.
