00:00The number of Filipinos who said that they consider themselves to be poor and experiencing starvation is lower than in the first half of 2024.
00:10This is based on the latest results of the Massa Survey of OCTA Research,
00:15where it was found that the number of Filipinos who consider themselves to be poor is lower than 43 percent.
00:25It was reduced by 5 percent from the previous 48 percent in the second quarter.
00:31It was found that 1.4 million families said that their situation is good.
00:38It was also reduced by 11 percent from the previous 16 percent of Filipinos experiencing starvation.
00:44This is equivalent to the 1.3 million Filipino families who said that they are no longer hungry.
00:51Meanwhile, it was found that 42 percent of the food poverty in the country is considered stable.
00:58The survey was conducted from August 28 to September 2 among the 1,200 adult respondents.
01:05It has a plus three margin of error and 95 percent confidence level.
