00:00The Philippines has now returned the 47 Filipinos who availed of the voluntary repatriation from the chaos in Lebanon.
00:08That and more in the Express Balita of Floyd Brenz.
00:14The Department of Migrant Workers welcomed the 47 Filipinos who voluntarily repatriated from Lebanon,
00:20including the 45 OFWs and 2 dependents.
00:25This is the largest batch that returned from the implementation of the Repatriation Program of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.
00:31They will receive P170,000 in financial aid and other benefits.
00:36It is expected that up to 364 OFWs will return before the month ends.
00:44Meanwhile, the government expanded the implementation of the No Hunger 2027 Food Stump Program
00:50to address the increasing number of the Filipino families who are starving.
00:55According to DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian,
00:58the target of the agency is to help up to 300,000 families who are starving in 22 provinces in 10 regions of the country.
01:05DSWD believes that the target will be reached that no Filipino family will be starving.
01:10According to the data of the SWS Survey,
01:13the number of Filipinos who are starving has increased by 22.9% in the third quarter of the year.
01:20DSWD continues to support this, along with other government agencies.
01:27Two weeks ago, the MMDA met with various local governments,
01:32the Philippine National Police, and other agencies to ensure that the implementation of this program will be successful.
01:38According to the MMDA, they have formed a Traffic Management and Parking Plan in Metro Manila
01:44following the expected increase in the number of people in the cemeteries.
01:48The bus terminal, bridge, and highway will also be monitored
01:51due to the expected increase in the number of people returning to the province.
01:54Meanwhile, more than 1,000 MMDA personnel will be deployed from October 27 to November 4.
