00:05Uh your thoughts on the Dodgers
00:08spanking of the Mets. Nine
00:11nothing. Flaherty had it all
00:13coming out of his glove for
00:14seven innings. Unbelievable
00:17performance from Jack Flaherty
00:18following up an unbelievable
00:19performance from Yamamoto. Very
00:22scary for the rest of Major
00:24League Baseball if the Dodgers
00:25pitching is going to pitch like
00:27this. Their starters got it
00:29right. And Walker Bueller had
00:31pretty good stuff. He had bad
00:33luck. I find it interesting that
00:34they went back to the bullpen
00:36today. As opposed to starting
00:38Bueller. A lot of us thought it
00:39was going to be Bueller. Derek
00:40Jeter thought it was going to be
00:42Bueller. They go with Brazier
00:45and then they're going to go
00:46with obviously another bullpen
00:48game here Scott. I think the
00:50Dodgers are taking this sort of
00:52as a must win situation as well.
00:54With the two three two format
00:56awaiting them. I think their
00:58strategy is we can get up to
01:00nothing. We can roll out Bueller.
01:01We're going to be in New York
01:02for three games. We'll roll out
01:04Bueller and we'll roll our dice
01:05with him because he's sort of
01:06the the wild card. He's
01:08generally going to give you
01:09he's going to give up a couple
01:10of at least three runs. It's
01:11just it just is what it is. So I
01:13think they're trying to avoid
01:14that. Thirty-three consecutive
01:16innings and you know of course
01:19the last time they played in
01:20the championship series Scott
01:21you remember it was epic stuff.
01:23Jay Howell got kicked out.
01:24Lasorda's freaking out. Yeah.
01:26Bulldog Earl Hersheiser. Right.
01:28So Earl Hersheiser to me is one
01:30of the more underrated pitchers
01:32in sort of like history. Right.
01:34Like when people talk about
01:36dominant pitchers, big game
01:37pitchers. He was great. He was a
01:39big yeah you know the Bulldog.
01:40He was you know people remember
01:41the Kirk Gibson home run but
01:42they won the World Series that
01:43year because Earl Hersheiser.
01:45And what did Earl Hersheiser do
01:47in that year Scott? He set a
01:49Major League Baseball record.
01:51Fifty-six consecutive scoreless
01:53innings pitched. Right. Which
01:55I've never heard of. So Earl
01:57Hersheiser fifty-six
01:58consecutive scoreless innings
02:00pitched. And you look at the
02:02Dodgers now. Thirty-three
02:03innings Scott. San Diego can
02:05hit. The Mets can hit. Suddenly
02:07they can't right now. We'll see
02:09if they can keep it going today
02:10but the back end of the Dodgers
02:12lineup is hitting. The front end
02:14Mookie Batts is you know has
02:17woken up. Freddie Freeman is
02:19playing on one leg. Very Kirk
02:21Gibson like. Yeah and he's he's
02:24playing good baseball right now
02:25after that day off. There's a
02:27lot to like about the Dodgers
02:28Scott. I think they're going to
02:29get it done. Again it's funny
02:31because they were minus 150
02:32favorites overnight. And there
02:34was no pitcher listed. And you
02:36know and I do like the Dodgers
02:37again today and I thought you
02:38know let's wait and see because
02:40if they announce it's going to
02:41be Buehler I bet you it falls to
02:43like 135 or something like that.
02:46They announced a bullpen game
02:47and it came down to minus 40
02:48cents but I think the Dodgers
02:50get it done again today Scott.
02:54Yeah.
