00:00The challenge of sustainability concerns companies and financial institutions.
00:12It is an important challenge because it involves the environmental transition and the social transition.
00:17It is a very articulated path and it is a path that also requires important investments for the company.
00:23Let's think only of the energy transition or let's think of the management of social profiles.
00:28Banks and the financial system play a key role in this because they support the economic system,
00:35the production system and the entire consumption system with the accompaniment.
00:40The accompaniment in the transition, which naturally requires investments and intensive capital for companies,
00:46but also for families.
00:48The bank, with the accompaniment, provides financial support.
00:52Let's think only of the experience of an energy renewal of the real estate, housing,
01:00rather than sustainable mobility, electric mobility, rather than environmental goals,
01:05and therefore the revision of a company's production system, the circular economy,
01:09preserving biodiversity in the case of an agricultural company,
01:13rather than trying to manage the use of water resources in the correct way.
01:19All this involves interventions and investments.
01:22Banks, and in particular agricultural loans, are strongly committed and engaged in a path
01:28that wants to keep the contradiction together, that is, the fact that the transition is a cost,
01:34but in reality it is seen in the long term as an investment and as a creation of value.
01:39Therefore, we allocate our funding in the most appropriate way
01:44and we also allocate incentives and public resources that are implemented, for example, with the PNRR or the 5.0 transition.
