00:00The Ireli Criminal Court in Turkey released the six Filipinos charged with drug trafficking.
00:06The six Filipinos, along with four other senior officers from the Panamanian Flag Cargo Vessel,
00:12the Phoenician M, were arrested in October 2023
00:16while their ship was docked at the Ireli port in Zunguldak in the Black Sea region in Turkey.
00:21According to Philippine Ambassador to Turkey, Henry Bensurto Jr.,
00:25this is good news because the Philippine crews will be able to join their families this Christmas.
00:31They are regularly visited by DFA and Embassy officials.
00:35For now, the return of the six Filipino seafarers is being arranged.
