00:00Hi there. A very mixed weekend to come. In some places it's a beautiful start to the
00:06weekend, in others a lot of cloud persists. Scotland, Northern Ireland, North West England,
00:12North Wales prone to cloudier skies first thing with outbreaks of rain. It does turn
00:17drier and brighter through North Wales, North West England and Southern Scotland during
00:21the day, but the best of the sunshine will be across the rest of England and Wales. And
00:25after a chilly start, well, temperatures will reach 17 or 18 Celsius, so very pleasant
00:31indeed. Although the breeze will pick up through the afternoon and it's going to stay damp
00:36in the west of Northern Ireland, Northern and Western Scotland as the next front begins
00:41to appear. That front will push heavier rain into the southwest by the end of the afternoon
00:47and as this area of low pressure, a relatively old area of low pressure approaches, the winds
00:54will pick up, could reach gale force around exposed coastal parts of the southwest and
00:59that combined with heavy rain leading to a noisy night on Saturday night. The rain pushes
01:05east into East Wales as well as parts of the Midlands, but it tends to peter out as it
01:10moves east. We keep the clear skies then in the east of the UK and under those clear skies
01:15temperatures will fall into the single figures, but it's not going to be as cold overnight
01:18because of the cloud and the increased breeze. And certainly for Western Scotland, Northern
01:22Ireland, parts of Wales and the southwest, it's a gloomy start to Sunday. A lot of low
01:26cloud around, outbreaks of rain on and off, nothing particularly heavy at first and those
01:31outbreaks of rain and the cloud tend to push east. Although again, tending to fizzle out
01:35in some parts of eastern England, eastern Scotland staying largely dry, relatively humid,
01:4017 Celsius. Heavier showers move into the west by the end of Sunday and that's how next
01:46week begins with plenty of lively showers, particularly across western and southwestern
01:51parts.
