00:00Hi there, very good evening to you. I hope you've had a nice Friday. Certainly it's been
00:06a largely cloud-free Friday on this Cloud Appreciation Day, but still some white fluffy
00:13things to admire in the skies and they will tend to disappear after the sun goes down
00:18across much of Wales and England. With cold air still in place, temperatures will fall
00:22away and the odd mist and fog patch couldn't be ruled out across the southern half of the
00:27UK. With clear spells for many, temperatures will also fall away. Not quite as low as Thursday
00:33night's temperatures, but still close to freezing in the south, but for northern England, north
00:38Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, a slightly milder night to come because of additional
00:43cloud coming in and some outbreaks of rain for western and central Scotland, a few spots
00:48of rain for Northern Ireland and the south westerly breeze picking up. That means that
00:53for Scotland, Northern Ireland and Northern England, a different feel to the day with
00:57a lot more cloud and some damp weather across the hills of western and central Scotland,
01:03perhaps Cumbria as well and Northern Ireland seeing one or two spots of rain. But with
01:06the wind coming from the south west, it's a much milder day for Scotland, 18 or 19 Celsius
01:11possible in the north east where we will see some broken up cloud from time to time. For
01:17the best of the sunshine, it will be across the southern half of the UK where after a
01:20bright start, there will be some cloud turning up, but still temperatures of 18, 19 Celsius,
01:25lighter winds compared with recent days. It's certainly going to feel a little bit less
01:30fresh compared with recent weather. By the end of the day, it turns wet across western
01:35Scotland and Northern Ireland. The wind picks up further and outbreaks of rain across Scotland
01:40as well as Northern Ireland heading into Cumbria by midnight. So, a breezy and damp night for
01:47the northern half of the UK, but we keep the clear skies across the southern half of
01:51the country and again, a cool night to come, although not as chilly as previous nights.
01:56Temperatures generally in the high single figures or perhaps low double figures. By
02:00the end of the night, skies are beginning to clear once again across Scotland and Northern
02:04Ireland as the weather front sinks into central parts of the country. We'll see some blustery
02:08showers through the day across central and western Scotland and a cluster of heavier
02:12downpours are likely to move west to east around the middle part of the day with gusty
02:17winds as well. But, there'll be some bright skies in between. Meanwhile, for Northern
02:22England, north and west Wales, thicker cloud and outbreaks of rain, most persistent across
02:28Cumbria and parts of north Wales. To the south of that, actually, the cloud will build through
02:34the day, some high and medium level cloud, but it stays mostly dry and bright and temperatures
02:38will reach 17 or 18 Celsius once again. Then, heading into next week, it's all changed
02:45once more. Higher pressure begins to arrive through Saturday night into Monday and eventually
02:52that higher pressure takes hold of the weather across the country, leading to a prolonged
02:58settled spell. With that higher pressure setting up across Scandinavia, we'll pull in some
03:03warmer and sunnier weather from the near continent. So, most areas throughout next
