00:00Let's turn it back to what we saw last night, and it was the Braves coming up big in the
00:08ATL 5-1 over the Mets.
00:10A lot on the line in terms of the NLEs, the Wildcats standings.
00:14Marzel Azuna gets his 39th home run for Atlanta, and Schwellenbeck puts in a big performance,
00:20Donnie.
00:21I was really impressed last night.
00:22Let's also, let's, the excitement, Dubs, right?
00:25We're so in the midst of football season, and we always talk about this every single
00:29year.
00:30You head into the month of August and then late August, and everybody, including myself,
00:33who's a big-time Philadelphia Phillies fan, loved the handicap Major League Baseball,
00:37it sort of goes to the back burner because of how excited we are for college football
00:40and also the NFL.
00:41And even coming into this week, I sort of had to shake myself, like, Monday morning,
00:45going like, Dubsie, did you know next week we are talking about playoff baseball and
00:50watching it and how much fun the playoffs are in Major League Baseball, National League,
00:55and American League?
00:56Yesterday, we're going to talk about the standings in a little bit, but this is a great
00:59performance.
01:00Spencer Schwellenbeck, a young pitcher that came up this year, picks up his eighth victory.
01:05You look at all of the injuries to the lineup and also the pitching staff for the Braves,
01:10and they're still hanging around with a legitimate chance to make it in because of starts like
01:14last night.
01:15You're not supposed to hold up like this as a rookie and say, this is a must-win baseball
01:18game, and you go on the mound, seven innings pitched, three hits, one earned run, and lift
01:23your team to victory, five to one, which then puts the momentum back in your favor,
01:28as we'll talk about Chris Sale back on the mound today for the Atlanta Braves against
01:31the Mets.
01:32I was so impressed by a young rookie pitcher last night in that type of environment, provide
01:36that type of start.
01:38That was awesome to watch.
