00:00It was a showdown in the National League East. We saw the Atlanta Braves taking on the Nationals
00:07over there in Washington. It was the Braves getting the win here, Donnie, 12 to nothing.
00:12So they blanked them, but the biggest takeaway, Reynaldo Lopez leaving this game with right
00:17shoulder tightness after just throwing 25 pitches, 16 of those being for strikes.
00:23Yeah, Reynaldo Lopez says he's going to be okay, but they're still going to do a precautionary
00:27MRI today. And this is the second time in what, Dubsy, a couple of weeks that he's had
00:31issues, whether it be an elbow, forearm, or now shoulder. He only goes one inning yesterday,
00:36which could have been disastrous and could have stretched out your bullpen and maybe
00:39cost you a game in the standings, which you can't afford now going up against the New
00:42York Mets for that final wild card spot. They won that one easily, 12 to nothing yesterday,
00:4715 hits banged out by the Atlanta Braves, which also the catalyst there, Michael Harris
00:51the second in that leadoff spot, three of six yesterday with two home runs, including
00:55two RBIs there on those shots. Liked what I saw because that's resiliency. That's what
01:00you need. And that's basically been the Braves all along the season, player after player,
01:05injury versus injury, next man up in that lineup. And they're tied now with the New
01:09York Mets here in that wild card race. And you saw the bullpen come through, Chavez,
01:13three innings, no earned runs, Brebbia, three innings, no earned runs, Jackson, two innings,
01:18no earned runs. You needed that last night because if you could have had a loss, you
01:22dropped that back a game in the standings. But more importantly, now you're worried about
01:26your bullpen moving forward. If you're going to have to use your bullpen, you better get
01:29that victory. And the Braves did that yesterday.
