00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. personally attended the 63rd Founding Anniversary of the Philippine Constitution Association today.
00:09On the President's behalf, he also expressed the importance of the Constitution
00:15as well as the recognition of the great role of Phil Consa in maintaining democracy in the country.
00:22President Marcos also expressed his desire to bring to the lives of all Filipinos
00:27the principles that uphold the freedom, rights, and dignity of every Filipino.
00:34At the same time, he was honored as the newest member of Phil Consa,
00:40First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos, who was appointed by Phil Consa to Chairman Chief Justice Renato Puno.
00:48Phil Consa is a non-stock and non-partisan organization
00:53that is committed to defending, upholding, and maintaining the Constitution.
00:58The organization also supports the efforts of the government
01:03to ensure that its plans and programs strictly comply with the principles of the Constitution.
01:11But while our economy flourishes, let us remember the fundamental principle that underpins everything,
01:19our Constitution. The law that establishes the structure of our government,
01:24determines the rights of our people, and protects them from abuse.
01:29Let us create a nation where the rule of law reigns supreme, where justice is not selective,
01:35and where every Filipino enjoys the freedoms, the rights, and the dignity that they are entitled to.
