00:00The Philippine Constitution Association or PhilConsa celebrated its 63rd founding anniversary
00:07today at Malacanang Palace's Ceremonial Hall.
00:10Founded in September 26, 1961, PhilConsa is a non-stock and non-partisan organization
00:17created to preserving and protecting the Constitution.
00:21Its work is to monitor governments' programs and projects are in step and in compliance
00:26with the provisions of the country's charter.
00:29In the event, the President hailed the PhilConsa for remaining steadfast, vigilant, and uncompromising
00:35as guardian of the Philippine democracy.
00:38Likewise, First Lady Lisa Araneta Marcos was inducted officially into the group as one
00:44of its regular members in an oath-taking ceremony presided on by ex-Chief Justice Reynato Puno.
