00:00My dear respected brothers, Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wasallam, Muhammad, a beloved prophet,
00:10Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wasallam was free from sin. He was free from sin. And Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala already told him, Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala has already promised him and has already guaranteed him the highest level in Jannah.
00:27Al maqam al mahmud belongs to Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wasallam. Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala has already forgiven his past, his present and his future.
00:37But yet this prophet, in the authentic hadith, he says, by Allah I make istighfar, meaning I make repentance, I make tawbah towards Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala 70 times a day.
00:5370 times in the day, Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wasallam, who was free from sin, who had nothing to repent about anyway, he says, in the day I would turn back towards Allah and I would make tawbah 70 times a day.
01:08And in another narration, in an authentic hadith, Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wasallam, he's calling out to the people, meaning you and I, he says, oh you who believe, turn back to your lord, turn back to your lord in pardon and ask him for forgiveness, for by Allah I turn towards Allah 100 times a day.
01:32100 times a day. My brothers, the quality of repentance, the topic of repentance is a very very interesting one.
01:45Allah loves you. And Allah wants to hear your voice according to Rasulullah 100 times a day, minimum.
02:05Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wasallam, he's advising the ummah to make tawbah towards Allah. And this is a quality that is dead. Or if it's not dead, it's very little. And really if you look at your life, ask yourself just how much do I repent towards Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
02:26Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wasallam, he says in the authentic hadith, he says Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala stretches his hand during the day so that the sinners of the night can repent.
02:41And then Allah the almighty stretches his hand during the night so that the sinners of the day can repent. And Allah will continue to stretch his hand during the day and the night till the sun rises from the west, meaning the day of judgement.
03:02Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala my brothers, the king, the master, the creator, you know it's an amazing thing. Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala doesn't need anyone. Allah doesn't need anyone.
03:20Don't ever think brother in your life that your charity or your salah or your little tasbih or your little, this does not increase Allah's greatness. This does not make Allah better in any way shape or form.
03:35In fact Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala says in the hadith al-qudsi, he says Allah is calling out. He says, O my slaves, not the Muslims, anyone and everyone. O my slaves, if the first of you till the last of you, meaning from the first human being till the last human being.
04:01If all of you, human and jinn, if you were all together collectively and worship me and worship me and worship me and worship me until you all come like the best heart amongst you, this does not increase my greatness.
04:18It does not increase Allah's greatness. In fact Rasulallah subhanahu wa ta'ala, just to paint the picture that Allah doesn't need our worship. Allah doesn't need our worship.
04:34Rasulallah subhanahu wa ta'ala was sitting with his sahaba. He says to them, I see what you don't see and I hear what you don't hear. He says to them, verily the heavens have squeaked. The heavens? The sky? The heavens have squeaked.
04:54You know when you put a lot of weight on something, it makes that squeaking sound. There's a lot of weight, there's a lot of pressure on it. He says the heavens have squeaked. He says for by Allah there isn't room for four fingers except there is an angel in prostration towards Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
05:13Does Allah need me? Does Allah need the ten dollars I'm going to put in the box when I walk out? Yet this Allah, Rasulallah subhanahu wa ta'ala he says in the authentic hadith that Allah is happier. Allah is so happy when you my brother, when you my sister, when you make tawbah towards Allah. Rasulallah subhanahu wa ta'ala he says in the authentic hadith, imagine, look at the example he gives subhanahu wa ta'ala.
05:43He says imagine there's someone in the desert and he's riding on his camel and he has all of his provisions on the camel. And then the man takes some rest and then all of a sudden he loses his camel. What hardship would this man be going through? Everything, my food, my water, my transportation is on the camel and I lose the camel.
06:08He says subhanahu wa ta'ala in the authentic hadith that imagine this man was to take some rest, then all of a sudden he was to see his camel again. How happy would you become? How happy would you be? He says Allah is happier than this man when you make tawbah to him.
06:26Allahu Akbar. Ya Allah you don't need me. Ya Allah I'm nothing. Yet you are this happy when I make tawbah. Yes my brother. Yes my sister. Allah wants to hear your voice. Humble yourself before Allah. Humble.
06:49Because it shows that you're a slave and he's your master. Because it distinguishes any pride that's in the heart. Anything. How much does Allah love us? How much does Allah love us? He says, oh my slave.
07:13What a Rabb. What a Lord we worship. There was an Egyptian sheikh. He says, I was asking some kids, what's the biggest ni'mah in your life? He was asking some kids, what's the biggest bounty in your life?
07:29So he says, you know, naturally being a sheikh, the kids were going to give me some smart answer or they were going to give me an answer that they were maybe expecting me to hear. He says, you know, so I went around and I asked. And one guy said, oh the biggest ni'mah is Iman. This guy said Islam. The biggest ni'mah is the Quran. He said, until I got to this one kid.
07:49And I said to him, you know, what's the biggest ni'mah? And he said, the biggest ni'mah in Rabbina, huwa Rabbina. He says, the biggest ni'mah that Allah is our Allah. He says that Allah is our Allah. Allah says, oh my slave, if you come to me with an earth load of sin, but you don't associate partners with me, I will come to you with an earth load of forgiveness.
08:19Allahu Akbar. Ya abdi, if you came to me with an earth load of sin, but you didn't associate partners with me, I will come to you with an earth load of forgiveness. Allahu Akbar. He says in Rabbina, huwa Rabbina. That Allah is our Lord. This is the biggest ni'mah.
08:47This Allah who says, do what you want. If you repent, I will forgive. My brother, who in the world has so much love? Ya Allah, you don't need me. Ya Allah, I'm less than zero. You are the king of all kings. You are the master.
09:12You are the master. You are the one who the billions and billions and billions and billions of angels are in prostration day and night. They never disobey you. Never, never, ever do they ever disobey you. Yet you're happy when this sinner says, Ya Allah, forgive me.
