00:00A show-cause order was issued by the House Quad Committee against Myla Roque, the wife of the former presidential spokesperson Harry Roque.

00:08Cassandra Leong, who was convicted of embezzlement, will also be given a show-cause order for not submitting a document.

00:28The House Quad Committee ordered the transfer of Cassandra Leong to the Correctional Institute for Women in Mandaluyong

00:35the second time the committee cited her in contempt.

00:40May I move that Ms. Cassandra Leong, because we have cited her in contempt,

00:45should be detained at the Correctional Institute for Women in Mandaluyong for a period of 30 days. So moved, Mr. Chair.

00:56The educational background of Ms. Leong was left out in the hearing.

00:59Abang Lincoln Partylist Rep. Joseph Stephen Paduano, co-chair of the Quad Committee,

01:05asked her about the inconsistencies in the way she studied under the alternative learning system.

02:08Before the committee approved this, a judge came to the court to assess Ong's health.

02:15Ong was just released from the hospital on September 10,

02:18after her blood sugar and blood pressure dropped while she was in the middle of being examined by the camera.

02:24I believe, for humanitarian reasons, Mr. Chair, considering her ailment,

02:31we should reconsider this motion to detain her at the women's correctional, Mr. Chair.

02:38Or maybe, for that matter, we should let the medical team check on her, whether she is fit.

02:46Because Mr. Chair, if something happens to Ms. Cassandra Ong, that would be the responsibility of this committee, Mr. Chair.

02:56According to Surigao Del Norte Rep. Ace Barbers,

02:59the medical team can still examine Ong while she's in the women's correctional.

03:04If she doesn't trust the medical director of the women's correctional,

03:09maybe we can ask that our own medical team from the House of Representatives go check on her periodically.

03:18Ong's camp has yet to announce that she will be transferred to the women's correctional.

03:23But first, Ong's lawyer, Ferdinand Topacio, said that Ong wanted to be transferred to the women's correctional

03:30instead of being embarrassed by the cameras.

03:33Ong will be transferred there after September 26, when the period of the first contempt order against her by the camera will end.

03:42The committee also issued a show-cause order for Myla Roque, the wife of the former presidential spokesperson Harry Roque.

03:49This is because of the lack of compliance with the invitation of the committee that is investigating the Pogos.

03:55Myla is explaining why the head of a large syndicate in China is in their formerly partly-owned house in Benguet.

04:04Since Myla Roque has been invited in the previous hearing,

04:10and the documents being requested or ordered to Mr. Harry Roque with regards to the medical certificate of Ms. Myla Roque

04:23that has been submitted in this committee Mr. Chairman,

04:26I so move that we issue a show-cause order for Ms. Myla Roque.

04:32We are trying to get a statement from the camp of Myla Roque,

04:36but Harry Roque previously denied that he had anything to do with the illegal Pogos.
