00:00It is expected that the delivery of Mirosystems Company Ltd. automated counting machines that will be used in the election next year will be completed in November.
00:10Comelec has already started the examination of the parts of this machine.
00:15This is the story of Louisa Erispe.
00:19It is expected that the delivery of Mirosystems Company Ltd. automated counting machines that will be used in the election next year will be completed in November.
00:30According to Comelec Chairman George Erwin Garcia,
00:33it is expected that the delivery of 110,000 ACMs from South Korea will be completed early from December.
00:40Mirosystems Company Ltd. has already started the process.
00:44By October, they will be finishing the entire 110,000.
00:49And therefore, by November, before the end, they will deliver to us the entire 110,000.
00:55But Comelec clarified that it is not only fast that the delivery is expected, but also the quality of the machines on the day of the election.
01:04That is why Comelec has already started the testing of the machines.
01:08Of the 27,500 ACMs that arrived in the country, 856 have already been tested.
01:15From the battery, logo, serial number, and reading of the envelopes, Comelec blames it.
01:22There are four parts that have problems with the audio, which is expected for persons with disabilities.
01:28But it was fixed immediately.
01:30Comelec said that if the machines that will arrive in the country are not fixed properly,
01:36they have already consulted with Mirosystems.
01:39If after trying to repair it, it really does not work, replace it.
01:44The rule is, if one of the components does not work, the whole machine is neglected.
01:51So technically, the whole machine should be replaced.
01:55Comelec said that if there are machines that will have problems on the day of the election, the commission is also prepared for this.
02:03Now, every province has repair hubs.
02:06And our province is 83, including NIR.
02:10But it is 110 because we still have other repair hubs that will be installed in the whole Philippines.
02:15The PPCRV said that the citizens arm stands up every election.
02:19They saw the process that Comelec is doing to ensure that the machines that will be used are fixed properly.
02:26Our processes and regulations that are being implemented here are good.
02:31And I can see that in terms of quality control, the amount of quality control that will be done here in the province will be high.
02:42Aside from ACM, the 2,000 satellite dish that arrived in the Philippines
02:48is included in Comelec's contract with I-1 Solutions for the transmission service in Halala.
02:54It is also included in Comelec's procurement.
