00:00All right. Let's bring it out to the West Coast. It was the Dodgers at home taking on
00:06the Cubbies. I was watching along with this one. Donnie had a couple of great bets in
00:10the mix until they weren't great bets. The Cubs get the win six to three. They put up
00:15five in the eighth inning and a couple of very strong arms here. Imanaga got the start
00:19for the Cubbies. Yamamoto made his return for Dave Roberts fanning eight through four
00:24innings pitch, but it wasn't enough to get the Dodgers home there on Tuesday.
00:29Couple guys with multiple hits last night, too, in the Chicago Cubs lineup. You had Seiji
00:33Yasuzuki, three of five. You also had Isak Peraitis, two of five. Then you had Horner,
00:37three for four, and Pete Crowe Armstrong, two for four. So you had some guys in the
00:41bottom of that order doing some damage, which is great to see. Now, the Chicago Cubs, 75
00:45and 70. Technically, yes, they are still in the playoff race a couple games back of the
00:50Braves and Mets, but winning these type of ball games here is going to go a long way.
00:54The Los Angeles Dodgers have an interesting season overall. Started out very good before
00:59the all-star break, got swept by the Philadelphia Phillies, and it looked like the Philadelphia
01:03Phillies had a six-game lead over the Dodgers for that number one overall seed, only for
01:07the Dodgers to play great baseball. The Phillies not to play so well, and the Dodgers overtook
01:11the Philadelphia Phillies. Now, the Phillies have a one-game lead on the Dodgers due to
01:16the Phillies winning last night and the Dodgers losing. But also, you have to look big picture,
01:20Dovesy, right? Because in major league baseball, you can't win any game, every game. I understand
01:24that, even though you want to. But if you take a look at Yamamoto on the mound, four
01:27innings pitched, one earned run. But here's the key, eight strikeouts over those four
01:32innings here. If you can build his stamina enough to get him healthy for the playoffs
01:36where he can go five to six innings, that is massive for the Dodgers. You actually don't
01:40care about the final score. Yesterday, Shota Imanaga improved to 13-3 for the Cubs. His
01:45ERA, right around three, and he went seven innings and gave up three earned runs. The
01:50bullpen imploded for the Dodgers, but I think if you wake up as a Dodger fan, your takeaway
01:54in this game wasn't the loss, wasn't the bullpen, it was Yamamoto. Can he get back
01:58to what we expect him to be? And that could be huge for the Los Angeles Dodgers.
