00:00October baseball. It is fantastic. Our number one is underway here on the early line. It's
00:05Dubs. It's Donnie. Let's get down to it. San Diego Padres yesterday picking up a victory
00:09over the Los Angeles Dodgers. Six to five setting the stage today for an elimination
00:14game for the top overall seed in Major League Baseball. Superstars all over the place. But
00:19Dubsie, I said it before this series started. I like the Padres because I thought the Padres
00:24had better pitching on a night-to-night basis than the Los Angeles Dodgers did. And certainly
00:28a very exciting and great lineup here for the San Diego Padres. It did sort of work
00:33out that way yesterday because the Padres won. But I was banking on Michael King. Five
00:37to six innings pitch Dubsie, one earned run, five hits scattered. He gave up five hits
00:43and five earned runs over five innings and the Dodgers still weren't able to win. Also
00:48pointing out, what do you love about the Padres? That bullpen is really good. The bullpen gave
00:52up no runs. You also got countered by the Dodgers bullpen, which was fantastic. The
00:57starters struggled. The Padres won. It was a charged night at Petco where I even saw
01:01the emails coming out, Dubsie, from ownership. Hey, foul language, fights in the stands,
01:07you know, bad attitudes will get you ejected here. I love playoff atmospheres like this.
01:12Yeah, absolutely. And I guess it was a big carryover from what we saw on game two, getting
01:16a little spicy out there. Dave Roberts wasn't too happy firing a couple of shots back there
01:21in the lead up to game three there last night. But for the Padres, you know, sometimes you're
01:26going to get it done different ways and that bullpen is going to carry them a long way,
01:30Donnie. That was the deciding factor. They get it done six to five. Tatis was special again,
01:35putting up that sixth spot in the second inning for the Dodgers. They were playing catch up and
01:40they showed, you know, plenty of rally to get back into this one, putting up four in the third,
01:44but they're starting pitching. I mean, it was always going to be a concern. This is not a big
01:48shock that the Dodgers are up against the Ropes right now going against the San Diego Padres.
01:53The arms have just been so inconsistent. They've been plagued by injuries. I think they've got
01:57Landon Knack set to start later this afternoon. We'll jump into that one in a little more depth,
02:01but for Walker Bueller, not good enough. The bullpen, they were decent without being fantastic.
02:06And for the Padres at home down there at Petco, a park that's traditionally very tough in trying
02:12to score offense and trying to put up runs, the Dodgers were up against it late and they just
02:16couldn't find that special moment. I thought it may have been coming for one of those big name
02:20superstars for the Dodgers. I mean it for a tiny bit, just couldn't get it across the
02:24wire. So the Padres, a very good shot of trying to close this thing out. Now leave the series two to one.
