Klang now proudly features its own cat park, aptly named Klang's Cat Park.

Tengku Permaisuri Selangor, Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin, officially opened the 0.4-hectare park on Sunday (Aug 18) at the Wetland Pavilion in Bandar Bukit Raja.

00:13Tengku Permaisuri Selangor, Tengku Permaisuri Norasikin officially opened the park in Bandar Bukit Raja on Sunday by launching the Cat Fun Walk.
00:22The event began at the Wetland Pavilion.
00:25Tengku Permaisuri Norasikin flagged off the walk before heading to the newly built cat park for the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
00:33During her visit, Tengku Permaisuri Norasikin toured the 0.4 hectare park, viewing the facilities and delighting in the sight of several adorable stray cats housed in an enclosure.
00:44The park is designed to care for stray cats, providing them with a safe environment.
00:49She was also pleased to see many visitors who brought their cats to participate in the best-dressed cat competition.
01:01Klang Royal City Council Mayor Datin Paduka Noraini Roslan revealed that Syme Derby Property funded the construction of the cat park and its facilities, costing Rp 800,000.
01:13The council has already taken in 38 stray cats, which will be neutered and vaccinated by a veterinarian from the Klang Veterinary Department.
01:43Noraini added that the park can accommodate up to 150 cats, but will initially be limited to 50. The park will be managed by the council's health department.
