00:00The Dainley House is set in the heart of Chapel Allerton. We have up to 22 beautifully decorated
00:11bedrooms all with ensuite facilities. We have a very spacious lounge and dining area which
00:16leads through to two conservatories. The conservatories overlook our award winning gardens. Here at
00:22Dainley House we serve fresh home style cooked fresh food daily from the menu. We're able
00:29to cater to a wide variety of different residents, dietary needs and preferences. The home is
00:36full of charm and character. It's a lovely small home which enables the staff to get
00:44to know residents on a personal level providing really individualised care. When a resident
00:50comes to live at Dainley House we always enjoy learning about residents and getting to know
00:56a little bit about them but we also enjoy being able to meet residents' families. We
01:01feel that we're able to create a real community here within Dainley House. So here at Dainley
01:07House we offer a wide range of varied activities. Activities are tailored to residents' individual
01:13preferences and we try to incorporate activities that will promote independence and just promote
01:19their overall wellbeing. We have a puppy that comes to visit us on a daily basis and
01:26the residents really enjoy engaging with him. We like to take residents out for trips into
01:32the local community and trips out in our minibus. We offer activities such as reminiscence exercises
01:40and we also have really good links with the local primary school and local church and
01:45we like to try and get involved with the community as much as possible. My name is
01:50Caroline Coop and I'm the Trust Administrator here at Dainley House. I've worked here for
01:54about 18 months and I feel very privileged to work here. The welcome that I got from staff,
02:00from residents and from the families has been amazing. Dainley House is a charitable trust so
02:08we're not-for-profit so everything that we earn through our fees, through any donations that we
02:14get, all gets put back into Dainley House. Everything that we do is for the betterment
02:20of Dainley, for our residents, to make a lovely, warm, welcoming home and that's what I feel that
02:27Dainley House is. We're a home, we're a family and that's why I do feel privileged to work here.
02:34My mum is a resident at Dainley House, Pat. She's been here a couple of months and it's
02:43a wonderful place, Dainley House. We really like it. Mum's happy here, I'm really happy with her
02:49being here. I know she's safe and well cared for and what we really like about it is it's small
02:55and it very much feels like a family environment. It's a lovely building and the gardens are
03:02stunning which is really important to mum having been a lifelong gardener and the staff are always
03:09around, they're very warm and friendly but very professional as well and being in a residential
03:16home like this means, you know, mum's not sort of tied to home care times if she were
03:22living in a flat having lost mobility but here, you know, you can do what she wants, when she wants.
