00:00It's been a while since I've been here and I've wandered back in and honestly my mind feels so
00:04refreshed. What is it about the magic of this place? The magic of the garden. Welcome to Apple
00:10Tree. I reckon it is because when you come here you never leave worse. You never leave feeling
00:16worse. You might come feeling bad but I'm sure you feel a little bit better when you leave here.
00:21How do allotments and gardens help your mental health? Just by being outside. Just by being in
00:27luckily we've got the sunshine right now but by being outside seeing things growing
00:31enjoying the space and being with other people and it's a bit of a leveller as in you can come
00:36in and do nothing. You can just relax and enjoy or you can get stuck in and get your fork and
00:41do a bit of what I'm doing right now. It's dead hedging. What is dead hedging? Dead hedging is a
00:47new thing we've started that Matt the coordinator discovered and it's basically it's a large bug
00:55hotel that's that we make and it's made out of dead materials and you can use it as a barrier as a
01:01fence. It's great for the wildlife they love to dip into it and live in it. The actual materials that
01:08you use will break down and compost so it's a great way to you know get rid of our bracken and our bits of
01:14wood and things that get in the way you know just piles of it. We've got a structure out in the car park
01:19it acts as a bit of a barrier too which is nice shade if you want it. Bit of windbreak.
01:25How can I mold it.
01:26You can mold it.
01:27How can I mold it.
