A recent survey has shown that more people think that AI has made their life harder than the opposite, so do the people on the streets of Manchester understand the positives and the negatives?
Transcript
00:00A PC World survey has found that many people actually think that AI is making their lives
00:04worse.
00:05So I'm in Manchester to ask people how AI has impacted their life and whether they think
00:09that it's a good thing.
00:10I feel like it depends on the situation, really, because, you know, in bad hands it can definitely
00:17be a detrimental thing rather than a good thing.
00:20And I feel like currently it's going more that way, where people more so abuse it.
00:25I think what I've seen the most, rather than experience it, is how AI is being used to
00:30create art, to create music, to almost supplement the creative industry, as opposed to take
00:37away the tools so that the humans can explore art, if that makes sense.
00:42I think I probably would be more worried about the deep fate.
00:46I think using it the right way, it could be a great thing, but I can see like most things
00:49it can be exploited and it'll go too far.
00:52I think it's quite exciting.
00:53I work in drug discovery, so I've had quite a few presentations about the topic, so I
00:58think it's pretty good.
