An office plant potted 15 years ago has grown into a 300ft beast - and is now nicknamed 'Audrey II' from The Little Shop of Horrors.

Bosses Allie Brennan, 52, and husband, Des, 58, initially bought the ivy from B&Q for their bathroom at home.

But due to the plant's 'rapid growth' they were left with 'no other option' but to take it to work.

Now, more than 15 years later, the plant has grown to 'well-over' 300 feet long - sprouting new shoots to pin up across the office walls and ceiling "every day".

00:00I'm Charlotte. I work at Protective Solutions in Stonehouse and this is our
00:05plant, Des's little baby. He's been growing it for about 15 years now. It
00:12started off as a little plant in their bathroom and Ali and Des brought it in
00:15here and it just seems to like the environment in here. Over the years we've
00:20started decorating it at Christmas which is a bit of a talking point and anybody
00:25new that starts we get them involved but over the last year Des has started
00:29putting little shrubs into pots now so it looks like we're the plants getting
00:35even bigger so it seems to like the light and it likes the environment in
00:39here so it's growing yeah growing really really quickly. Des tends to come in and
00:44have a look and see how quick the shoots grow every day so it's definitely a
00:49talking point. We get lots of people coming in, customers coming in, they like
00:53to talk about the plant and it sort of shows like our environment and
00:57everything and how we're working towards our environmental procedures and things
01:01so yeah it's a good talking point everyone loves it.

01:33about here now it's kind of gone across to my colleagues desk over here yeah you
01:38kind of go home for the weekend and come in and take note that it's kind of
