00:00SEÑOR ALCALDE DE BOCAVILLE, FRANCIA
00:30de partners in advancing so many of the things that people in both of our countries are looking
00:36for, including inclusive economic growth, including modernizing our economies to flourish
00:44in the 21st century, and including dealing with many challenges of security, sustainability
00:53in our hemisphere and beyond.
00:54Panama has played and seems to play a very important role in international organizations
00:59in our hemisphere and around the world.
01:01And of course, we're working together to deal with the challenge of irregular migration,
01:05to do it in a safe, orderly, and humane way.
01:08And Javier, I'm really grateful to you.
01:09I think your first day in office, you signed with Secretary Mayorkas the understanding
01:16between us on repatriation, and we're really grateful for that, but more broadly, just
01:22for the collaboration that we have together.
01:24We were talking as well, and I think it's clearly a time for democracies in our hemisphere
01:31and well beyond to work even more closely together, because we face so many common challenges
01:37as well as opportunities.
01:38And when we're dealing with them together, we're much more effective.
01:42And for that, the United States is particularly grateful for the partnership with Panama.
01:46Thank you.
01:47Good morning.
01:48It is an honor for Panama and for myself to be here.
01:53President Molino sends his regards to Secretary Blinken.
01:57He covered everything, but I just want to highlight that we are partners.
02:02We share a lot in common.
02:04We defend democracy, and we want to cooperate in the major challenges that our region and
02:09the world will face in the future.
02:12Panama, as a member of the Security Council last year, knows its role, knows the importance
02:19of trying to find solutions to the different problems in the world, and we are sure that
02:24with the leadership of President Molino, with the collaboration of the USA, our friendship,
02:31we will tackle these major issues with success.
02:34We share values, we are partners, and we understand the importance of our relationships, and we
02:40remain so on President Molino's term.
02:43Thank you for your time.
02:45Thanks very much.
