Torin's Passage was one of the first games I ever played growing up. One of the most impressive parts of the game include it's opening's suspensful orchestra soundtrack and sound effects. The visuals within the game are pretty incredible for a game that came out in 1995. It's clear that a huge amount of work and effort has gone into the artwork and design for the locations and the game's overall backdrop of a nested planet with different layers representing different wolds within a planet, quite an incredible idea I'm not really seen anywhere else.

Torin's Passage features his companion Boogle which looks like a Dog or Cat and accompanies Torin on his quest throughout the game.

Some main features of the game include a useful hints and tips section where a non playable voice narrator aids you on your adventure providing clues on solving puzzles. You also have a score counter which increases as you progress throughout the game. You can pause the game, scroll through past conversations and also pick-up a number of items and equip them.

00:00Welcome back to Torin's Passage. Today we're playing the level The Lands Above, the first chapter in the Torin's Passage game.
00:08So let's go and visit Torin's house, let's see what's going on there.
00:11I like these birds that are flying around, they're quite cool.
00:14They're kind of unusual, they're like green, orange.
00:18I love seeing Torin and Boogle just wandering off into the distance, that looks really great.
00:25So we've arrived at Torin's house, we're just going to have a look around I think.
00:29Hey Boogle, let's go!
00:32We're going to have a look inside of the cottage, see if we can find any information.
00:38So this is Torin's house, the ceilings are quite low, it's quite cosy.
00:43We've got, we've got, uh, what's Boogle doing?
00:45It's to that chest, I'm not sure.
00:47What's he doing?
00:49Now I noticed Boogle just did a little fancy thing there.
00:52Sometimes what Boogle does is he comes, he sort of does different things.
00:56He turns himself into different shapes, different objects,
01:00and that sort of becomes a sort of special power that Boogle has.
01:04So here we've got something, I'm not quite sure what it is, but if we put it on here.
01:12It tells you what it is.
01:13Now if you hover it says Boogle box, so Boogle can turn himself into a box.
01:21So that could be handy.
01:22Boogle has these amazing powers, which he can use.
01:25Torin obviously doesn't have anything at the moment, so we'll keep that there.
01:31That's where dad always sat after dinner, and drifted off to sleep.
01:40That was mom's favourite chair, I hope she's okay.
01:48What's this?
01:49We've got a stove.
01:52Ow!
01:53Yep, the stove's still hot alright.
01:55So like most adventure games, you can click on lots of items and objects,
02:00and you can interact with them.
02:02Sometimes you can find out information, you can do actions,
02:07pick up items for your quest, and things like that.
02:12Obviously there's a lot of items in this building.
02:15I might need this empty box.
02:17I might need this empty pouch for something.
02:29So yeah, another thing you'll notice, you heard Boogle squealing as if he got trodden on.
02:34You can accidentally stand on Boogle.
02:37He never gets hurt, don't worry, but he always does this funny noise.
02:39I'll just show you what I mean.
02:48So he can do that, it's such a funny thing.
02:55Oh, we missed him, let's hold on, see what happens.
02:59Ow!
03:00Yep, the stove's still hot alright.
03:03I used to find that really funny when I was a kid.
03:06It's a brilliant thing, they've added it in for laughs,
03:10but it's such a brilliant feature of the game, I love it.
03:15I think out of all the chapters in Torden's Passage, this one was one of my favourite ones.
03:20It's quite light-hearted and the puzzles weren't too difficult,
03:24so it was quite enjoyable playing through.
03:27Now this is Itchy, who is a caterpillar, and he's pretty hard to catch.
03:44Choo!
03:45Whoosh!
03:45Choo!
03:46Whoosh!
03:46Choo!
03:47Whoosh!
03:48Gotcha!
03:49There we go, we've got him, we've got him.
03:52Good, now we've got Itchy in our inventory, and yep, we can see a closer image of him.
03:58Aha!
04:00Oh, he's an Inchworm, okay, Itchy the Inchworm.
04:03So he's not a caterpillar, that's wrong.
04:06Okay, let's go and have a look at, let me see...
04:14I love the interface at the bottom with all the items, I think that's a great idea.
04:19We're going outside, and oh, an axe, let's have a look.
04:25I wish I had a pleber for every time I've swung this.
04:29Okay, and he's just managed to fit a giant-sized axe in his bag.
04:34Don't know how he's managed to do that, but he has.
04:36It's fine, he's got a Mary Poppins bag.
04:39It's just, you know, accept it, it's part of the game.
04:44Okay, a length of rope, that could be really handy, that.
05:02That's the length of rope we have.
05:04And I've also got...
05:08It's an axe, isn't it?
05:09It's an axe.
05:12Best axe.
05:13So that could be handy for chopping things up.
05:15Remember, Sam in the Lord of the Rings, he had elvish rope, and that came in handy.
05:22So let's go and explore somewhere else, let's have a look.
05:26One thing I've noticed there is the stove's still running and he hasn't switched it off,
05:30so hopefully the house won't burn down.
05:32What are these?
05:40So we've got some berries.
05:44They look really big.
05:46A lot of amazing background there with the crystal monuments.
05:51I'm not even sure what they are, they just look amazing.
05:53And all these unusual tropical birds.
05:58Those are kind of strange trees.
06:00They look like they've got big silver discs in them.
06:05And then obviously you can see the moon in the background there.
06:09Another thing I've noticed is Torin and Bugle are very athletic in this game
06:14and are very good acrobatics.
06:18Acrobats, I should say.
06:20Alright, let's go down the hill.
06:23You can see sort of crystal kind of statue things in the distance there.
06:28And another building by the looks of it, quite a large building.
06:31Let's go and investigate.
06:32An amazing background of the sky there.
06:41Hmm, what's that?
07:02Hmm, strange looking house.
07:08Oh, what's Bugle doing?
07:10Let's find out if anyone's home.
07:13Strange windows.
07:24Let's try an axe.
07:26Oh, poor Bugle got hit.
07:33Oh no, it's the noise, okay.
07:56I wasn't trying to sneak by you.
07:58I'm Torin and I really need to get to the lands below.
08:02Can you help me?
08:03The lands below?
08:06You're one of them?
08:09Well, you can't stay up here.
08:10You go right back down where you came from.
08:13Yep, nobody from down there gets past me and you won't neither.
08:19Oh no, you misunderstand.
08:20I'm not from the lands below.
08:22I want to go there.
08:24So you do know how to get there?
08:27Go there?
08:28Why, no one goes there.
08:30That's no place for any self-respecting citizen.
08:33Why, them worlds is filled with nutsos, malcontents, psychos, politicians.
08:41No, there's no way I'd let you go down there.
08:44So you do know.
08:46Oh, please help me, sir.
08:48I must get to the lands below.
08:50May I come inside?
08:52Nope, no way.
08:53Nobody gets inside this guardhouse except my replacement.
08:57Don't know where he is either.
08:59Was supposed to be here 10, maybe 12 years ago.
09:03Never been this late before.
09:05No, you gotta go.
09:07Get out of here and don't come back.
09:11Hmm, charming.
09:14This looks none the worse for wear.
09:16This is annoying me again.
09:19I guess it's fun.
09:21Halt!
09:21Who goes there?
09:24Um, it's me.
09:25I'm, I'm your replacement.
09:31What?
09:31You are?
09:33Finally, it's about time.
09:35You must be 10 years late.
09:37Where have you been?
09:39Uh, heavy traffic.
09:41Well, whatever.
09:43Hurry up and get inside here.
09:45I'm powerful hungry.
09:47Uh, okay.
09:50Hmm, can't say I much care for the new uniforms.
09:57Hmm, very cozy.
09:58Looks very nice.
10:04What's Bugle up to?
10:06Oh, nothing.
10:07What's Bugle up to?
10:10Aw, he's so cute.
10:11Oh.
10:16Ooh, what's Bugle done?
10:17Bugle has turned himself into a Bugle lantern.
10:23That could be handy for seeing in the dark, I would imagine.
10:26So that's a good tool to have.
10:30So, get started.
10:34Okay.
10:35Uh, started what?
10:37Don't they teach you young'uns anything at basic anymore?
10:41Well, maybe, but, uh, I wasn't exactly at the top of my class, you know?
10:48Hmm, I can see that.
10:51Don't tradition mean nothing no more?
10:54What's your generation coming to?
10:56Say, where's your provisions?
10:59Provisions?
11:00Well, I, uh, uh...
11:04My meal, boy, my meal.
11:07You know the core tradition.
11:08Before taking over, the replacement guard always cooks the departing guard his final meal.
11:15Oh, uh-huh, I knew that.
11:18Uh, yeah, that's still taught to all of... us.
11:23What is it you'd like, exactly?
11:25You mean you didn't bring it with you?
11:27Well, you won't find no home-forked comforts out here.
11:31It's your problem, not mine.
11:33I know what I want.
11:35Exactly what do you want for your last meal?
11:39Last meal?
11:41I ain't dead yet.
11:43Hey, who are you?
11:46What are you doing in here?
11:48You my replacement?
11:50Oh, brother, why, yes.
11:52I am your replacement.
11:55I am your replacement.
11:57You know, there's a tradition that the new guard prepares the departing guard's meal,
12:01so I'm gonna fix yours.
12:04Dang right I know, and I know what I want.
12:08Hope you brought it with ya.
12:10What'll you have?
12:12For my appetizer, I want juice.
12:16Berry juice.
12:17Freshly squeezed.
12:18None of that canned crap, either.
12:21Berry juice, huh?
12:24Hehe, I like all these little kitchen.
12:28Quite a nice, cosy wee kitchen here.
12:34So, we have berries.
12:36So, can we do that?
12:38Here you are, Herman.
12:40I brought you some berries.
12:42Great.
12:42Now squeeze them.
12:44What?
12:45Oh, alright.
12:47Uh, where's the juicer?
12:49I told ya, over there.
12:51On the cabinet.
12:54Here you are, Herman.
12:55Thanks.
13:04Boogal, can you be an axe?
13:14Phew, here you go.
13:16Say, uh, what kind of berries are those?
13:20Why, chuck berries, of course.
13:24Ah, that tastes great.
13:28But now I'm getting a little hungry.
13:31Oh, brother.
13:33You know what I really miss?
13:36I'm kind of afraid to hear.
13:38Sluggeti and peat balls.
13:42Sluggeti and peat balls?
13:44Don't you mean sluggeti and peat balls?
13:46Sluggeti and peat balls.
13:48Sluggeti and peat balls.
13:49Sluggeti and peat balls.
13:51Sluggeti and peat balls.
13:52Sluggeti and peat balls.
13:54Don't you mean spaghetti and meatballs?
13:57Ain't never heard of no such thing as that.
14:00Say, you sure you're from around here, boy?
14:03No, no.
14:04Sluggeti and peat balls is exactly what I crave.
14:09Oh, okay.
14:10I'll fix it for you.
14:12What's in it?
14:13Why, slugs and peat balls.
14:16What do you think?
14:18I'll be sure to round up just enough for one meal.
14:24Sluggeti and peat balls.
14:28Um, what exactly do you want me to bring you?
14:31Peat moss.
14:32Slugs.
14:33What are you, dull?
14:35Say, did I ever tell you the story about the last person I sent down?
14:41Oh, no, you didn't.
14:43I mean, uh, yes.
14:45Yes, you did.
14:46So don't, okay?
14:48I'm in a bit of a hurry, you see.
14:49So, uh...
14:51Sweet young thing.
14:52Dang shame.
14:54They clamped that collar round her neck so tight she couldn't hardly breathe.
14:58And then, poof!
15:00She was gone.
15:02Couldn't ever come back home.
15:05Too bad.
15:06Huh.
15:07Fascinating.
15:09Bye!
15:25Now, we did see some sort of slugs earlier.
15:31Okay, let's go looking for...
15:35Uh, what are we looking for?
15:36We're looking for Sluggeti and, uh, peat moss.
15:42Whatever that is.
15:44Trying to think where we can go next.
15:50Uh, we've been down that way already.
15:54Ah, okay, there's like these slug things.
15:56Maybe that's what we're looking for.
15:59Hmm, that tree is just covered with exotic, high-speed, caffeine-laced slugs.
16:07Okay, so we're going to turn Boogle into a box, I think.
16:13Are we?
16:13No, we're not.
16:35What are you looking at?
16:36Yeah, you got nothing better to do?
16:39Staring at snails?
16:41Well, I, uh, no, actually.
16:44Wait, hey, I have a lot to do.
16:46But who are you?
16:48Who are we?
16:49Who in the Tenebris are you?
16:51Yeah, who are you?
16:54I'm Torrin.
16:55Torrin Farman.
16:57Farmhand?
16:58Yeah, you look like a farmhand.
17:02Farmhand.
17:03Good one, Slim.
17:05Thanks, Slime.
17:06High five!
17:08All right!
17:13Slim and Slime, you guys seem different from the others I've met around here.
17:18Different?
17:19You bet we're different.
17:21Yeah, what do you think?
17:22You talking to just another couple of snails?
17:26Yeah, you're quite a pair.
17:28Why, that's right.
17:29We are a pair.
17:32A pair!
17:33Good one, Slim.
17:35Thanks, Slime.
17:36High five!
17:38All right!
17:42Say, guys, could you help me with those slugs over there on the next tree?
17:46I can't even get close to them.
17:48How can I trap them?
17:50Trap them?
17:51Yeah, you could.
17:53If you had bait.
17:55And we know just what they like, don't we, Slime?
17:58Sure do, Slim.
18:00But we can't tell you, Torrin Farmhand.
18:03Why not?
18:04I'm honest, trustworthy, sincere.
18:08Oh, it's not that.
18:10Nah, it's because you haven't done anything for us yet.
18:14What could I do for you?
18:16Help us turn over a new leaf.
18:20Turn over a new leaf.
18:21Good one, Slim.
18:23Thanks, Slime.
18:24High five!
18:25All right!
18:30While I'm not totally unfamiliar with 12-step programs...
18:34Ha ha ha!
18:36That's not what I meant by turn over a new leaf.
18:39What he meant was, we need a new leaf to practice our Pear's figure sliming.
18:45Yeah, a big leaf.
18:47A really big leaf.
18:49You know, something with style.
18:52Class.
18:53Chlorophyll.
18:55Retsin.
18:56Something to give us that competitive edge.
18:59Something that will put us over the top, Slime-wise.
19:03Yeah, you got anything like that?
19:09So, if I can find you a really big leaf...
19:12We'll tell you everything you always wanted to know about slugs.
19:16But we're afraid to ask.
19:18Which is more than you know now.
19:21Sure.
19:32This might be the biggest leaf here, but then again, it might not.
19:39No way!
19:4279 quarks.
19:4413 peptunks.
19:47578 bucwars.
19:49Too short.
19:5113 peptunks.
19:5373 quarks.
19:55177 bucwars.
19:58177 bucwars.
20:00177 bucwars.
20:0173 quarks.
20:04Too short.
20:06Nah.
20:08Stop!
20:10That's it!
20:11That's the biggest leaf of all!
20:14Oh, nice call.
20:16Thanks, Inchy.
20:17That's Mr. Worm to you.
20:22Hey, come back here.
20:24Hmm, now which one is it?
20:31Oh, not again.
20:35Gotcha!
20:39Oops.
20:43Yuck!
20:45Hey, Boogle!
20:46Get that, will ya?
21:01Okay, so we've got the largest leaf, which will come in handy.
21:11We can give that to the snails.
21:15We also seem to have a couple of items.
21:16Blue crystal.
21:19Shard.
21:20And we've got, uh, Boogle's got something.
21:24Boogle Worm.
21:26Not sure what that will come in handy for.
21:32I found it, boys.
21:33This is the biggest leaf in all the woods.
21:36You?
21:37You did?
21:38You brought us a leaf?
21:41Yep, and here it is.
21:43Now tell me about those slugs.
21:44How can I capture them?
21:46Ooh, nice texture.
21:50Nice structure.
21:52Good size.
21:54Professional markings.
21:56Okay, it's a deal.
21:58Yep, done deal.
22:00You want a high five?
22:02Uh, no thanks, no.
22:05Your loss.
22:06Okay, here you go.
22:08Slugs love scum.
22:13Yeah, pond scum is good.
22:16Nah, you can have your pond scum.
22:18Bog scum, now that's the best.
22:21Bog scum?
22:22No, definitely moat scum.
22:25That's what you want.
22:26Ooh, yeah, moat scum is choice.
22:30Too bad you can't get it.
22:33What do you mean, can't get it?
22:34I know where the moat is.
22:37Yeah, you know where, but do you know what?
22:42Like, what's in that moat?
22:44Oh yeah, croctopus, and lots of them.
22:48Wouldn't lots of them be crock-de-pie?
22:51Crock-de-pie, crock-de-pusses, don't matter.
22:54You'll never get close enough to the water to get scum from the moat.
22:59Wait a minute, didn't you say you were going to the moat olympics?
23:03Yeah, why?
23:05Well, if I took you over there, would you help me get some moat scum?
23:09Slim, what do you think?
23:12Okay by me, better than crawling.
23:15Okay big boy, let's go moatin'.
23:19Here, hop on your leaf.
23:25No matter how many times I see Crystal City, it's still impressive.
23:30What an amazing view.
23:33Love that.
23:34It looks amazing.
23:35Amazing background there.
23:49Hmm, a jawbridge.
23:51We can't get in there, can we?
23:53A jawbridge.
23:54We can't get in, we need in, we want to get in.
23:57Oh!
24:03Well that went well.
24:06The croctopus may well combine the worst characteristics of both animals,
24:11but its skin makes an excellent laptop computer case.
24:15Okay, so we'll try that again.
24:23Here we are boys, the site of the next moat olympics.
24:26I hope you win the gold medal.
24:28Thanks Torrin, you're okay for such a dry person.
24:33Yeah, thanks.
24:34And in return, I'll put in a good word for you with some of my croctopus friends.
24:41Good word?
24:42I don't need good words, I need moat scum and plenty of it.
24:46Oh, you do, do you?
24:49And exactly where do you want it?
24:53Why, right up here.
24:57Hey croc, pass the boy some scum.
25:02Geez, that looks like that big croc out of Pirates of the Caribbean.
25:05What was it called?
25:06The kraken.
25:14There's no way I could get across that moat.
25:20Maybe this will get someone's attention.
25:23Halt, who goes there?
25:26Torrin, of the Farman Valley.
25:28The bridge is up!
25:30Yes, I see, but I thought perhaps I would be able to convince you to, um, well, I guess not.
25:41Hello?
25:45Halt!
25:46Oh, you are halting.
25:49Yes.
25:50Well, uh, would you mind moving a little?
25:53What? Why?
25:55You're throwing off my timing!
25:57Well, okay.
26:05Halt, who goes there?
26:07Me. You know it's me, you just told me to start walking.
26:12Well, okay.
26:14Halt!
26:16But now I am halting.
26:18But now I am halted again. I halted when you first said halt.
26:24What? I didn't say halt.
26:27Did too.
26:28Did not. Did I?
26:31Oh, oh, yeah, well, never mind.
26:36Go away.
26:37Go away? I haven't asked for permission to enter yet.
26:41Go away anyway.
26:43But couldn't you...
26:46I guess not.
26:48I guess not.
26:52Halt!
26:53Oh, no, not again. Look, all I want to do is get inside.
26:59You can't. The bridge is up.
27:02Yes, I can see that. I thought perhaps you could...
27:06Hello? Well, I guess you can't.
27:14Halt!
27:15Oh, how many times are we going to do this?
27:18How many times are you going to toss those pebbles up here?
27:22Look, I need information about Lysentia, about the lands below. Can you help me?
27:29Lands below? You don't want to know about that place.
27:33That is the Lysentia? I've never heard of that place.
27:37She's not a place. She's a sorceress. I must find her.
27:42Well, I guarantee you she is not here.
27:46Now, go away. You are interrupting my nap time.
27:50Oh, brother, you're no help.
27:53Nor shall I be. Good night.
27:59Hello?
28:01I cannot hear you. I'm asleep.
28:04How could you be? You're talking.
28:07No, I'm not. I'm asleep.
28:10You are not.
28:12I too.
28:13Are not.
28:14Too.
28:15I give up.
28:16Besides, if a sorceress is anywhere, she's not in Crystal City.
28:28Let's have a look at this item.
28:30Uh, what have we got?
28:32Moat Scum.
28:35Hmm, what can we do with Moat Scum?
28:42Okay, let's go back to the slugs or whatever they were.
28:45See if we can entice them with some Moat Scum.
28:51Well, I guess I'll just leave this delicious Moat Scum right here for a while.
29:04Now I'm gonna getcha.
29:15Those slugs are so fast. I'll never catch them like this.
29:19If only I could make a trap.
29:31Boogle, can you make a box right over that Moat Scum?
29:36Oh, Boogle, we need your help here.
29:45That's it, Boog. Now we've got him. No more caffeine for you guys.
29:53Thanks, Boogle.
30:15Gah!
30:21Okay, let's have a look up this way. We've not been this way before.
30:24See what we can find.
30:27Oh, wow. Look at that.
30:29That's an amazing piece of artwork there with the tree.
30:33I love that. That's really good.
30:35Uh, whoa, whoa, whoa.
30:37A peat bog, huh? But it's obviously too soft to walk on.
30:43Okay, I just about died again.
30:45This looks dangerous.
30:48Is it grass or...?
30:50Looks slightly sinister looking.
30:55Got a feeling that you might not want to go on that. I don't know why.
30:59Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
31:01Okay.
31:02Uh, what can we do here? What can we do?
31:04Okay, we've got rope.
31:06Let's tie a rope to our feet.
31:08Can we do that yet? Feet tied to feet.
31:14Okay, so we can climb down the rope.
31:17And, uh, I'm not sure what we do after that.
31:22We're trying to get meat moss, paw moss.
31:25Maybe we can get...
31:25Okay, so we're trying to get some moss, I think.
31:27That's what we're trying to do here.
31:29Uh, that's not such a good idea.
31:32Let's see.
31:33Okay, let's climb back up.
31:34I don't think this is working.
31:36Um, how about...
31:41Uh, okay, we'll try again.
31:43Let's go down the rope.
31:45So now what am I supposed to do?
31:46I could swing on it, I guess.
31:48Um, nope.
31:51Uh, not really much I can do.
31:56Uh, I'm missing something here.
31:57What am I doing wrong?
32:00Uh, I'm missing something here.
32:02Okay, try the rope again.
32:04And tie it to my feet.
32:06Can we do that?
32:07Yeah, okay.
32:08We can tie it to my feet.
32:10Okay, so we're gonna use, like, a bungee.
32:13Hope this works.
32:17Okay, here we go.
32:20Whoa.
32:20Okay.
32:22Oh, we've got it.
32:22We've got meat moss.
32:23But we've lost a bag.
32:24We've lost a bag.
32:26Oh no.
32:28Whoa.
32:30You'd be better off worrying about getting off that rope
32:33than reaching for your bag.
32:37Oh dear.
32:38Okay, that was a mistake.
32:40If I could only reach that branch.
32:43Okay, so we can do something with the tree branch.
32:46I'm not sure what.
32:47Uh.
32:53Whoa.
32:55There has to be a way to reach safety.
33:00Okay, we can swing.
33:02Can we swing?
33:03What happens when you select this guy that's hanging here?
33:10All right, okay, so every time you click, he seems to swing.
33:17Not enough, though.
33:18Oh, here we go.
33:18Okay, so.
33:21All right, so the more we click, he seems to swing.
33:24That's far enough.
33:24Okay, so we've got to, uh,
33:27Okay, so we've got to, uh, what do we do?
33:30We need to get onto that branch, I think.
33:33But he's just not reaching it.
33:37Come on.
33:38Go.
33:38If I could only reach that branch.
33:41Come on, this is it.
33:41Go for it.
33:42Go for it.
33:42Now, now, now.
33:43Okay, this is it.
33:43This is it.
33:44If I could only reach that branch.
33:44Go for it now.
33:48Come on.
33:50Yeah, go for it.
33:53All right, more, more, more.
33:54Go for it.
33:56Yes.
33:57Okay.
34:09Now, how am I going to get my bag?
34:15Boogal, stop.
34:18What?
34:28Boogal?
34:29You mean this whole time you could have walked right out on that bog?
34:34Hello.
34:38Only when it's funny, huh?
34:40I'll only when it's funny you.
34:49Okay, let's have a look at what we've got.
34:51Um, we've got Pete Moss.
34:54Okay, so we've got slugs and we've got Pete Moss.
34:57So we've got what we need for the guard's meal.
35:00So let's go back and see what he thinks of them.
35:05Not sure how he's going to eat this, but that's what he's asked for.
35:10So yeah, we'll go back past this way again.
35:12Love these sort of green sort of plants there.
35:15They're quite cool.
35:15Wow, that's a really unusual tree.
35:18It's got loads of roots.
35:24Okay, here's your order, sir.
35:27Slugs and Pete Moss, just as you requested.
35:31But boy, did I have to go through a lot just to bring these to you.
35:34Yeah, yeah, I'm sure.
35:36You probably just walked around that cliff to the deli.
35:40What?
35:41You mean...
35:43Just a little guardhouse humor, boy.
35:46Ain't no food within days of this place.
35:49Now get over there in that kitchen and rattle them pots and pans.
35:54All right.
35:55But this is my first attempt at cooking such a...
35:59...delicacy.
36:12Well, at least it's quick to prepare.
36:15Here you are, monsieur.
36:17Bon appétit.
36:24Now, can we get on with it?
36:37Now the perfect conclusion to a near-perfect meal.
36:41Dessert.
36:43And a nice latte.
36:45Dessert?
36:47Latte?
36:48Oh, no.
36:50Oh, stop your griping.
36:52You can skip the latte.
36:53Just bring me some dessert.
36:57All right.
36:58What'll you have for dessert?
37:00Why, there's only one thing that'd top spaghetti and peat balls.
37:06I'm afraid to ask.
37:08Root.
37:09Yeah, let's make sure of something.
37:11If I prepare you a...
37:13...a root, then will I be done?
37:16Bingo.
37:18Bright boy.
37:19Yep, good old root'd be just fine.
37:24All you want is a root?
37:26Well, some sort of dessert would be good.
37:29Say, did I ever tell you about the last person I sent down?
37:34Uh, you know what?
37:36Don't bother.
37:37Oh, no bother.
37:39She was a sweet young thing, too.
37:42Dang shame.
37:43Don't know what she did to deserve that.
37:45Oh, you should have seen her eyes when they clamped that collar around her neck.
37:51Poor thing couldn't talk.
37:52Poor thing couldn't hardly take a breath.
37:55Okay, uh, thanks for the war stories.
37:59Root it is.
38:01Okay, let's go ahead and find a root.
38:03Now, I've got a funny feeling it's got something to do with that tree we passed on the way down,
38:07because it's got loads of roots.
38:10And I did see and notice that there was a square one.
38:13So let's see if we can just take that.
38:16If you want a square meal, this looks like the root.
38:22So
38:49here you go, one large root.
38:52Want to help me fix it?
38:54No, I'll just wait right here.
38:57Somehow, I guessed as much.
38:59Say, nice square shape, too.
39:02Them's the best kind.
39:05Okay, how about if I make it into a pie?
39:10Okay, great.
39:22While that's in the oven baking, why don't you and I head back to the phenocryst chamber?
39:28Ah, just smell that aroma.
39:32You know, there's nothing like coming home to find the square root pie.
39:40Phew, say, we going out on that joke?
39:44No, we're going out through the secret passage.
39:53Wait here while I get something.
39:55Pick a shard, any shard.
39:59I've been waiting 15 years to use that line.
40:07There you go, boy, the joint's all yours.
40:11I'm gonna grab my pie and hit the road.
40:14Gotta get on home, you know.
40:16That is, if I can remember where home is.
40:20But wait, what about me?
40:22Aren't you supposed to train me in how this thing works?
40:26Works?
40:28Can't, don't remember.
40:30Heck, it don't matter no way, boy.
40:32Nobody's come through here in years.
40:35But is this the way to the lands below?
40:39Could be, but you don't care.
40:42All you gotta do is make sure nobody from down there gets up here.
40:52That podium must be important to this huge crystal
40:55or it wouldn't be protected by those giant stones.
40:59All right, so we've got a puzzle to solve here.
41:02It's got something to do with the column.
41:04There's a portal on the wall and different coloured...
41:09That big crystal must be the portal to the next world.
41:12Coloured containers, I'm not sure what those are.
41:15All I have to do is lower all of those stones.
41:18Aha, right, okay.
41:20Let's keep trying these combinations and see if we can get all the pillars down.
42:04So
42:30this powder must be important.
42:32But what if there isn't any of it in the lands below?
42:36I'd better find something to hold enough so I can get home again.
42:44I'd better get enough of this powder to last.
42:47If it does take me to the lands below, I'll need enough to get home again.
43:02Hurry, Boog, hop in.
43:14Hang on, Boogal, I hope I'm right about this.
