00:00I've served a lot of masters throughout history, now I wanna go back home where I can be free.
00:14Then you come along with the opal in your hand, now your every wish is my command.
00:23Genie, genie from down under, make my wish come true.
00:32Genie, genie from down under, I wish you'd do what I want you to.
00:40Genie from down under.
00:44Dad, we're free!
00:48As you can see, I'm stranded in the outback of Australia and I'm quite calm about it.
00:53I've stopped screaming.
00:55I don't need to get upset because I've got a magic opal and I can just wish us back to Wiltshire whenever I choose.
01:01Anytime. Just like that. That's why I'm so calm.
01:05Ross!
01:10You whispered?
01:11I've got the opal, I'm the master, and I'm going to wish us all back to civilisation right now.
01:17Calm down, mate. You're an Australian.
01:19I am calm! Can't you see that?
01:21What's all this shouting about?
01:23Darling, is there something wrong?
01:26Well, I... yes, there is.
01:30I really want to go home to England right now. Don't you, Mummy?
01:35Well, actually, no.
01:38I quite like it here.
01:40Let's go see outside, darling.
01:49This will be a perfect room for you, Penelope.
01:52It's got a lot of potential. Don't you think?
01:55Come on.
02:04My lips are sealed. This is the reasons why.
02:07There are ladyships not in a hurry to go back to England.
02:10I can't divulge the details, but a certain gentleman's heart was broken.
02:14Mum's the word, but she left him stranded at the off.
02:18And I can't say too much, but it did cause a big scandal.
02:23Oh, look at this mess.
02:26It'll take me weeks to clean up around here.
02:29Now, I didn't say anything about our ladyship's troubles in England, did I?
02:33Yes, you did.
02:35You said your mum's lips were sealed when she got stranded at the altar.
02:38Now she can't talk any more.
02:42Bruce, Bass, pay attention, please.
02:46Now, I've changed my mind.
02:48We shan't be going back to England just yet.
02:50Mummy likes it here, but I've still got the oval.
02:52I'm still the master, and I wish to clear the room of all this useless mess and rubbish.
02:56I can do that.
02:59Yes!
03:05Yes, that was vaguely amusing.
03:10I'm the master, and I'm terribly calm.
03:12Positively serene.
03:14Oh, Mr. Penelope, the mess around here.
03:16No amount of polish will make this place clean.
03:20I wish everything in this room would sparkle.
03:40This Australian polish packs a punch.
03:42I wish you'd tell me that to know at once.
03:46I have just about had enough of you two.
03:49I've got the oval, and I'm the master.
03:51That's what you told me.
03:53In fact, you told me you were my slave.
03:56Well, I think it's about time you started behaving like a slave.
04:00I think it's time you started showing some respect for your master.
04:09Mummy, you don't understand. He's not human.
04:12You don't understand. He's not human.
04:14Just because he's Australian doesn't mean he's not human.
04:18Penelope, I'm shocked.
04:20I mean, really, how can you justify such rude behaviour?
04:25It's OK, mate.
04:27Is that a black opal there? Very rare.
04:30Mind your own business, and keep your hands to yourself.
04:33Penelope, will you mind your tongue?
04:35I'm sorry, Bruce. I don't know what to say.
04:39What's wrong?
04:41Where did you get that?
04:43I found it at home, in the attic.
04:46Let me see.
04:48Come on, Pen, give your mum a candle.
04:50Give it to me, Penelope.
04:52I wish you wouldn't ask me that, Mummy.
04:55I'm not asking you. I'm telling you.
04:58I'm nearly 14 years old, and I wish you wouldn't tell me what to do.
05:04All right, then. I won't tell you what to do.
05:07I'll leave it up to your own discretion, now that you're so mature.
05:22You can have it back when you've learned some manners.
05:25You've had the opal in your hand. Your every wish is our command.
05:29How quaint.
05:38If there's anything I can do for your ladyship, any service I could perform...
05:43Oh, please.
05:45Oh, Bruce, if wishes came true, I'd wish for a hot, soothing bath.
05:49Oh, Danway, everyone. Danway.
05:52Rossi, what a lovely surprise.
05:57Mind this for me, Rossi.
05:59Penelope can have it back when you think she's learned her lesson.
06:02And that won't be soon enough.
06:04Come along.
06:08You've had the opal in your hand. Your every wish is our command.
06:12Oh, bless his heart. What the young do come up with.
06:15A cup of tea and a foot massage. That's all I'd wish for.
06:27Rossi, do you think I could have the opal back now?
06:30I've really learned my lesson.
06:32You heard your mother.
06:34But it's my lucky charm.
06:38Please.
06:40Oh, please, Rossi, I love you and I'll be sweet forever.
06:47Such a fuss.
06:49I wish you'd left the wretched thing back home where you found it.
06:54Boo!
07:01Never mind. It'll turn up.
07:08I haven't got the opal.
07:10I'm not the master and I'm not very calm.
07:13Where are you going?
07:15We're on a holiday, Neil.
07:17I'll get it back.
07:19I'll phone England and have it sent over.
07:21And then we'll see who's sorry.
07:23Good thinking. You're never alone with a phone.
07:27There's no phone, is there?
07:29Yes, there is. There's a phone about 50 miles down the road.
07:32You can't miss it.
07:37How have we got here?
07:39Don't be sad. We can still be friends.
07:42I'm stuck here.
07:44I'm stuck here.
07:46I'm stuck here.
07:48I'm stuck here.
07:50I'm stuck here.
07:52I'm stuck here.
07:54We can still be friends.
07:56I'm stuck here. I'll never get out of this hellhole.
08:08Give it a few years. You might learn to love the place.
08:11What is there possibly to love?
08:13Yeah, no worries, mate.
08:20Yeah, well, look, mate, look, I've got to go, all right?
08:22See you later.
08:32How you going, mate?
08:35I'm Otto von Meister.
08:37Bruce, this is my son, Baz.
08:39Hi.
08:41G'day.
08:43Well, well, well, what have we here?
08:47G'day.
08:49I'm Otto von Meister, von Meister Tours.
08:52How do you do?
08:54This is my nephew, Conrad.
08:56May I present to you, Her Ladyship, Lady Tones,
08:59and her daughter, Miss Penelope Tones.
09:03My pleasure to...
09:06Hang on, did you say towns?
09:08As in towns, downstowns?
09:10Yes.
09:12Quite out of the blue, my daughter inherited this property.
09:15Good Lord!
09:17Ah, there are our tourists.
09:19First ever from Moscow.
09:21That's Trish.
09:23All those who need to use the bathroom?
09:25He's Vice President in charge of client liaison.
09:32A storger!
09:34Off to the beach, chaps!
09:36Stop skiing!
09:38Where are our manners?
09:42Is it all right to use the bathroom?
09:47Of course, go right ahead.
09:50As promised in the brochure,
09:52one comfort stop with inside bathroom facilities.
09:56Thank you, thank you.
09:58This is the happiest day of my life.
10:00Don't worry about it, mate.
10:01It's all part of the von Meister Outback experience.
10:09Stop shoving.
10:14Love your work too, mate.
10:16Hello.
10:18G'day.
10:19Expecting a bit of a cold snap, eh?
10:21Oh, yes.
10:23I mean, no.
10:25I mean, I came away in a bit of a hurry
10:27and I didn't pack any summer clothes.
10:29Actually, all our clothes are still in England
10:31and I was wondering if I might borrow your phone
10:33to ring home, you know, for a change of clothes.
10:36I'll have to charge you.
10:38Oh, of course.
10:40Would you mind if I paid you when my clothes arrived?
10:42You see, I left my purse in the other clothes.
10:47I like to conclude my unique outback experience
10:50with a night at Towns Downs.
10:52It's sort of a climax to cap off the whole adventure,
10:54you understand.
10:56It's always been deserted up until now.
10:59So, er,
11:01bit all right with you if we, er, carry on?
11:04Oh, yes, do. Carry on.
11:06I knew you'd understand.
11:08The moment I clapped eyes on you,
11:10I thought, she is a genuine lady.
11:13English jacaranda.
11:15Excuse me.
11:18And in the vase there should be an opal.
11:20Could you make sure that gets packed too?
11:22Yes, but don't forget the opal.
11:24It's one of a kind and quite priceless.
11:27I mean, to me, it's not really worth anything.
11:30More of a lucky charm.
11:32Who are you speaking to, Miss Penelope?
11:34Oh, it is the removalists, Mossy.
11:36I'm getting them to send over our summer clothes.
11:38Oh, you'd better speak to them.
11:40Hello? Hello?
11:42Can you hear me?
11:44That's all fixed then.
11:46I'm getting them to send over our summer clothes.
11:48Excellent. I'll make an announcement and everyone will be stoked.
11:51Mr Williams?
11:53Oh, it's Mrs Williams' leg.
11:55Oh, dear.
11:57We'd be honoured, nah, thrilled,
11:59if you'd join us for the barbecue tonight.
12:02We'd be delighted.
12:05See you then.
12:09Great to have yous here.
12:11You're beautiful people.
12:15They stole your great-great-grandfather's opal.
12:17His last words.
12:19Yeah, yeah, I know. A curse on Sir Claude Towns.
12:21That's right.
12:23They ruined us.
12:25We were rich.
12:27We should have owned all this, not them.
12:29Townsville should have been for mice to be.
12:33Not only was it priceless, but that black opal was our lucky charm.
12:37Ever since that old lowlife, Sir Scumbag Town, stole it,
12:41it's been downhill for our family.
12:45It's their fault they're going to work like slaves.
12:48It's their fault some of us have to work like slaves.
12:55Any word on my luggage?
12:57Mr Williams said he'd ring back when it's airborne.
13:00Get a move on, Uncle. Keep your shirt on.
13:03Come on!
13:07Do you think I'm too young for him, Mossy?
13:15Oh, yes, my dear.
13:17You're much too young for that pig.
13:21Don't tell me you find him attractive.
13:24Oh, no, it's just that I'm nearly 14,
13:27and, well, of course I don't think he's attractive.
13:30I was just wondering, that's all.
13:33Remember how he used to yell and actually trick people?
13:36And kick dogs?
13:37That wasn't the worst.
13:38Worse than the Vikings used to pillage and plunder?
13:41Hans von Meister made him look like kids on Red Cordial.
13:44He was vicious.
13:45Vicious? Yeah, much worse than the Vikings.
13:49Do you think he's just as mean?
13:59Well, there's no doubt they're related.
14:01I'm scared, Dad.
14:02Don't be scared.
14:03What if they get the opal again?
14:05Well, we can't let that happen, right?
14:07Right.
14:08I like it here.
14:10No paying guests, no nosy neighbours,
14:13no one who knows me.
14:17How old do you think he is?
14:19Why don't you ask him?
14:21Mummy, what are you saying?
14:24That I should just ask him straight out?
14:27I couldn't do that.
14:29I'd be so embarrassed.
14:31He might think I liked him or something.
14:36Oh, hello!
14:38I didn't see you there.
14:40Here I am.
14:42Yes, I can see that now.
14:44You're right there.
14:46Yep.
14:48Any word from the removal people?
14:50Have they called back yet?
14:51No, I'll let you know as soon as I call.
14:53Thank you.
14:55Can't wait to get into those summer clothes.
14:58That'll do.
14:59I'll see you later.
15:01Bye.
15:02Bye.
15:03Summer clothes?
15:05That opal...
15:06Sorry, you go first.
15:08That opal you were talking about,
15:10does it look anything like this?
15:18How extraordinary.
15:20Yes, it does look a little bit similar.
15:23What a coincidence.
15:27Yeah, my great-great-grandfather had that opal.
15:31Lucky charm.
15:32Really? How about that?
15:34I never realised how hot it was going to be down here
15:37and we left in such a hurry.
15:39How old are you?
15:41Old enough to know better and young enough to do it again.
15:48Oh, yes.
15:51Me too.
15:58Listen, Uncle, I know where the black opal is.
16:00What, Meister black opal?
16:02Yeah, that pommy chick's having it brought over with her luggage.
16:06I can give you.
16:08That opal is priceless.
16:10We'll steal it.
16:11They stole it from us, we'll steal it back from them.
16:14We'll set history right.
16:16Our time has come.
16:17Two wrongs will make a right.
16:19Right?
16:20Right.
16:21Right.
16:23Fantastic.
16:26OK, step right up to your job seat.
16:30There you go, mate.
16:32Hang on.
16:44Thank you, Boris.
16:46And tell me, Boris, if I may be so bold,
16:50what is the name of that cologne you're wearing?
16:55It's called The Night on the Vogue.
16:59You like it?
17:01Must have been a very hot, smelly night.
17:07That's a burnt sausage.
17:09And this is a burnt...
17:10Sausage.
17:11And that's a burnt sausage too?
17:12No, no, that's a burnt...
17:14I don't know what that is.
17:18What a lovely balmy evening.
17:20I'm glad you're enjoying it.
17:22Tomorrow I shall take an early morning walk.
17:25On your own?
17:26Oh, yes, of course.
17:30Here you go.
17:31Michael makes the best bangers.
17:33Oh, gosh, yes.
17:35They do look superb.
17:37I got some food for your pimp.
17:42You know, about charging you for that phone call,
17:44you know I was only joking.
17:46Really? You were?
17:48Oh, thank you.
17:49I appreciate that.
17:51No probs.
17:52What?
17:53You know, no worries.
17:55Oh.
17:57Are you going to eat that or what?
18:00You know, I was thinking, you know, how old you were.
18:03Oh, I don't think age really matters.
18:06I think majority's more important.
18:08Oh, for sure.
18:09It was just my uncle was asking.
18:11I said you were 18.
18:12Oh, gosh, man, I'm not quite 18 yet.
18:15How old are you?
18:1716.
18:18Isn't that amazing?
18:20Isn't that amazing?
18:22So am I.
18:25Have you a melody you know best?
18:29Well, arthritis comes and goes.
18:33Have it, and I will join in.
18:36Oh, a melody?
18:38Oh, no, Boris, I don't sing normally.
18:40I do.
18:43Oh, Boris, you are a one.
19:01So what's so special about this opal anyway?
19:03Oh, it's just my good luck charm.
19:06Has anyone ever told you how beautiful you are?
19:13When you say beautiful, me?
19:15Has anyone ever told me?
19:16Well, yes.
19:17I mean, not that I...
19:19How beautiful you are.
19:20After all, beauty's just deep skin.
19:26G'day, Pen.
19:27G'day, Dad.
19:28G'day, son.
19:29La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la.
19:36Oh, God.
19:41Yeah, good, what do you want?
19:45A spider.
19:46I was worried. He was conning you.
19:48Conning me?
19:49Don't you think I know when I'm being conned?
19:51We were just getting to know each other.
19:53I am telling you, you can't trust him.
19:55He's only after your opal.
19:56Trust?
19:57Trust? You telling me about trust? Well, that's very funny.
20:00You don't know the von Meisters like I know the von Meisters.
20:03They are cunning and mean and... bad!
20:07When I want your opinion, I'll ask for it.
20:17He'll walk right through to get to that opal.
20:19I rather thought that was more your style.
20:22Message for you, Pen.
20:24Your luggage will be arriving by a freight plane at 8 a.m. Wednesday.
20:27Oh, thank you, Conrad. That's wonderful news.
20:29I can't wait to get...
20:34...to get into those summer clothes.
20:37No worries. Coming back out for some food?
20:40No, I'm not hungry.
20:41Suit yourself.
20:45I can't believe you've fallen for him.
20:48Don't be ridiculous. I have not fallen for him.
20:51We're just good friends, that's all.
20:53Anyway, the opal will be here 8 a.m. Wednesday morning.
20:57So you make the most of your freedom while it lasts.
21:15What's that, Dad?
21:18That's the end of our freedom, son.
21:20That's Penelope's plane.
21:31Penelope, wake up! The plane's just arrived with the opal.
21:34It can't be. I set my alarm.
21:37It's two hours early.
21:39Quick, Penelope, before they get the opal.
21:42Before who gets the opal?
21:46Mother, wake up!
21:48What is it?
21:49I'm locked in.
21:51For goodness' sake, hold on.
21:56What are you doing?
21:57I'm locked in, too.
22:00What?
22:10You ran into a voice lock.
22:12Who would have done that?
22:13Someone who wants to steal Mowy's summer dresses.
22:15Where's Mowy?
22:16She's on her morning stroll.
22:18Hurry, hurry, before they get the opal.
22:21Run. Run, Mr. Penelope.
22:24Run like the wind.
22:26Underpants. I'm locked behind these underpants and stuff.
22:29Just keep looking, all right? It's got to be here. I know it.
22:32You know what? I'm looking.
22:35I'm jacking them. Have you found anything yet, Conrad?
22:39Conrad?
22:41I've never seen anyone in underpants in my life.
22:43Get away from my locket, you traitor.
22:45Traitor? I don't know what you're talking about.
22:47You made me come early, didn't you?
22:48What do you want?
22:50How could you deceive me like this?
22:51You made me wait.
22:53I thought we were friends, you frats.
22:55Yes!
22:57I've got it.
22:59I've got it. I've got it.
23:01It's ours. We're rich again. We're rich.
23:04Give it to me. It's mine.
23:05It was ours first, so stay back.
23:07Penelope's pendant. What's going on?
23:09Well, won't you ask? It's outrageous.
23:12That opal is ours.
23:13It was stolen from us by your ancestor.
23:15What?
23:16Conrad tricked me. He tried to steal it from me. Please, Mummy.
23:20You've rubbed the opal in your head.
23:22You might as well hang on to it. It could be worth a bit.
23:30Here you are, Penelope. I think you've learned your lesson.
23:33No!
23:34Honestly! All this fuss over a single piece of jewelry.
23:38Thank you, Mummy.
23:42It could be worse.
23:46I've got the opal back. I'm the master.
23:49I'm very calm.
23:50I've got a broken heart, and so I'm feeling dreadfully mature.
23:54Maybe being mature's not all it's cracked up to be.
24:04I'm the genie. You're the master.
24:06That's right. I'm the master. You're my genie.
24:10You belong to me. Yes!
24:12I've served a lot of masters.
