It's the Euros and I needed an England shirt - but on a budget. So I went into Manchester's Northern Quarter to see what I could find for £40.

00:00So I've only just started working with Manchester World, and to make a good impression I decided
00:06that I'd cover all of England's games at the Euros, starting from this point.
00:10Now obviously I've been an England fan since birth, but I've never actually had a kit.
00:14This is Adam, my boss, and he said I had to have a top to be able to cover the games.
00:18I looked online, but all the new ones were way too expensive, so he sent me a challenge.
00:23He gave me £40 and sent me out in Manchester to try and find the best kit I could.
00:28So here's where I went. We started off with Blue Rinse.
00:31Now I was pretty optimistic about this, they're quite big, but they had no England shirts and 7 Germany shirts,
00:36which was an absolute disgrace, so I left there in disgust.
00:40Next up we tried Affleck's, and finally we had a little bit of luck.
00:43Inside here, Milner and Son.
00:45They had this white England shirt on there, £30, but it did have a mark on the sleeve,
00:50which I just wasn't sure that I'd be able to get it off, so we kept searching.
00:54Next up, classic football shirts, and signs were grey.
00:58England shirts downstairs, knew where we were going, found a whole rail of England and Scotland shirts.
01:02Unfortunately, the budget came into play here. Cheapest was £45.
01:06An hour and a half in, I was about to head back to Affleck's when I thought I'd give this place a go.
01:10Gone fishing vintage, football shirt to the back.
01:12I had faith, then all of a sudden, bam, out of nowhere, two England shirts.
01:16Suddenly we had options.
01:18Which one did I get? Well, I got the red, 2006.
01:21So I got a shirt, permission to cover the games, a handshake from Adam.
