00:00We caught up with Scouse Strictly star Sam Quek to find out how she's feeling after her exit from the show.
00:07First of all, I've never been so organised in my life for Christmas.
00:11We're having a lot of spare time because naturally book all the Strictly dates out just in case you don't know how far you're going to get.
00:18So that's been very nice spending time with the kids.
00:20Probably if you would have asked me the question, like you say, the first week or two, I found it quite difficult.
00:26Because every single day you are focused on learning a dance, on Strictly.
00:33And when you're not in training, you're thinking about your dance, you're watching the dance back.
00:37Who would you like to see lift the trophy?
00:41I'm going to have to say Chris, aren't I? I mean, first of all, he's one of our own.
00:45We've got to stick up for one of our own.
00:48And I just think the journey he's come on, the improvement, and it says it all when you forget he's blind sometimes when you're watching him.
00:55And he's done that since day one.
00:56But I think seeing him now in this competition and his relationship with Diane and how they've got through the different types of dancers, I just think it's incredible.
01:05Tell me how your perception of Strictly has changed, you know, from an outsider, from a viewer to someone who's taken part in the competition.
01:14I knew it was a big show, but I think when you're in it, you just realise it's an absolute monster.
01:19The amount of people that are involved, hair, makeup, sound engineers, props, staging, camera crew, catering, you name it.
01:30There are hundreds of people you just don't see and they just work tirelessly.
01:34And I think a lot of people have said that when they've come to the live show, like how slick it is.
01:39Do you miss Nikita?
01:41Yeah, definitely. He's just he's a good egg.
01:44He's just one of life's hard working again.
01:48I think we were really, really well paired because I always forgot as well.
01:52He's only 26, like he's 10 years younger than me.
01:55And I think we had a good laugh. We enjoyed ourselves.
01:58We worked hard.
