00:08His two loans in GSIS became six.

00:27I was wondering why there were so many loans.

00:33I couldn't afford to pay them.

00:36His two loans in the Government Service Insurance System, or GSIS,

00:41became six.

00:42He only found out when he retired in September 2020.

00:46It was only two.

00:48I was crying inside the GSIS because

00:51to be honest, I didn't really owe it.

00:56GSIS released a record of applying for and releasing money to Lourdes

01:01for Emergency Loan Assistance,

01:03Regular Policy Loan,

01:05Members Cash Advance,

01:06Educational Assistance Loan,

01:08Summer One-Month Salary Loan, and

01:11Enhanced Salary Loan between 2003 to 2012.

01:18Almost 10,000 loans amounted to more than 30,000 pesos.

01:23That includes interest and fines for months that Lourdes did not pay.

01:30To clarify, your Kapuso Action Man went to GSIS.

01:34They will investigate the matter before giving an official statement.

01:39According to GSIS,

01:41they are inviting Lourdes to come to their office

01:44so that they can show and explain their loan records comprehensively.

01:48This includes all important documents,

01:51copies of checking releases,

01:53and bank statements.

01:55The agency wants it to be transparent up to Sumbong.

01:59For now, GSIS is still looking for ways to adjust

02:03the computed interests and surcharges that Lourdes should pay.

02:08If there are any changes, they are asking Lourdes to clarify them.
