00:00 We bring you an exclusive glimpse into the heart and soul of Filipino creativity nestled within the randeur of the Philippine International Convention Center or PICC in Pasay City.
00:12 A wonderful mix of tradition and innovation unfolds before our eyes. This is the LICAT III program which our Alan Francisco dwells on in this report.
00:24 First Lady Lisa Marcos led the LICAT III program at the PICC in Pasay City earlier today.
00:30 The LICAT program serves as a venue for Filipino artisans to showcase their talents and products.
00:36 It is also an opportunity to connect Filipino artisans with well-known Filipino designers and companies for possible business collaborations.
00:43 This is really a dream for us, not only branded fashion designers but even construction, even interior design, even urban planners.
00:54 This is where you will be able to get the right inspiration in terms of the Filipino sensitivity to our expressions.
01:02 So patterns, colors, volume, proportion, because this is where your eyes will be able to see the LICAT.
01:11 This includes traditional Filipino dresses and other attire from various tribes in the Philippines.
01:17 Also present are Filipino-made products such as tables and chairs made of hardwood from Mountain Province.
01:23 The LICAT is a big help. I am thankful to Ma'am Lisa for inviting us here and for joining us to promote our products in Itigong.
01:38 And of course, the famous lanterns from Pampanga along with household items and many more products from other provinces.
01:46 All of these items are guaranteed to be of high quality and reflect the culture of our ancestors.
01:52 We owe a lot to this place because this is where we found our way.
01:58 So we need to preserve this place and continue our children's lives.
02:04 According to one of the organizers of LICAT, First Lady Marco's support for such campaigns is highly beneficial.
02:10 Because as First Lady, the fact that you see the wife of the President supporting and wearing all these things is well enough and that's how important it is.
02:25 It's a big break for me because I have to interview people like you. I have to be able to say what a sculptor and artist should do.
02:40 And the growth of an artist from a young age to an adult.
02:48 LICAT is open to the public beginning tomorrow, June 7 until June 11, 2024 at Forum 2 and 3 of the PACC and ready to accommodate those who wish to buy or support Filipino-made products.
03:00 We, the artists of Moro, were given attention, especially in the province of Lanao and the municipality of Tugaya.
03:11 So we are very thankful to our First Lady.
03:18 I will talk to her if you want to see Filipino-made products, handmade.
03:24 That's why we have our own abilities.
03:28 Alan Francisco from the National TV Network for a new and better Philippines.
