00:06following the eruption of Vulcan Canlaon.

00:15The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology of PHIVOLCS

00:20has not ruled out the possibility of a magmatic eruption in Vulcan Canlaon.

00:25In a radio interview, PHIVOLCS Director Teresito Bacolcol said

00:29that this happened in 1902.

00:32One of the reasons why PHIVOLCS recommended

00:35to widen the danger zone to 6 kilometers

00:39is because of pyroclastic density current.

00:59Is the situation of the provincial government of Negros Occidental still under monitoring?

01:04Although there are thunderstorms expected,

01:07like the Intertropical Convergence Zone or ITCZ,

01:11they are hoping that it will not rain in Canlaon area

01:14to avoid the possible eruption of the volcano.

01:17Currently, the government is still studying the declaration of a state of calamity.

01:31and also the result of the rapid damage assessment before we declare

01:40The Department of Social Welfare and Development or DSWD

01:45has promised that it will feel affected by the eruption of the volcano

01:49with the help of the national government.

01:51In fact, DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian

01:55was the one who went to the province to provide assistance to the government.
