00:08It's been insinuated that politicians, only politicians, only bloggers, only conspiracy
00:13theorists are disagreeing with you.
00:15I want to point out that I'm probably the only member of Congress that actually treated
00:18patients during the pandemic from the very beginning to the very end of the pandemic
00:23during night shifts in the ER, thousands of patients during that time.
00:27And in 2020, I was censored.
00:30My medical license was threatened because I disagreed with bureaucrats, literally taking
00:35off the internet as a person who is treating patients with leading edge technologies, developing
00:42theories, but doing my very best, but being censored by the United States government for
00:47the first time stepping in and taking the place of medical professionals as the experts
00:52in healthcare.
00:54Any dissent surrounding COVID-19 treatments, mass mandates, and any public policy surrounding
01:00the pandemic was immediately labeled as anti-science.
01:04I watched as public health officials and politicians told my patients what treatment options were
01:08best for them, regardless of their comorbidities or their medical history.
01:13Despite my education and my training and my experience, my opinions were relegated to
01:18conspiracy and misinformation by so-called healthcare experts who had never treated a
01:24patient throughout the entire pandemic.
01:28This has been a black eye on the medicine and has highlighted why government should
01:31never, never insert itself in between patients and their healthcare providers.
01:37The American people deserve to make medical decisions through conversations with their
01:41physicians rather than politically motivated mandates.
01:45Dr. Fauci, did you ever treat a patient for COVID during the pandemic?
01:49I was part of a team that was at the NIH that took care, we didn't take care of many of
01:53them.

01:58Why would I be criticized by a bureaucrat for doing my very best as a healthcare?
02:03This is a rhetorical question, but why?
02:07Why would the government who's never treated a patient for COVID?
02:11You can read all the things you want, but you're not there.
02:13You're not seeing patients.
02:14You're not watching people die, intubating patients right there with that disease in
02:19your face, watching it happen, watching the development of this disease and actually learning
02:23from it.
02:24But I'm being told by bureaucrats what's right and wrong.
02:27And what's funny is everything I was censored on, I was proven to be right.

02:34You said in an interview that you gave as part of an audio book written by Michael Spector
02:40that you believed an institutional should make it hard for people to live their lives
02:46so they'd feel pressured to get vaccinated.
02:47Can we run the audio clip on that, please?
02:50You think can be done about it.
02:52I have to say that I don't see a big solution other than some sort of mandatory vaccination.
02:58I know federal officials don't like to use that term.
03:02Once people feel empowered and protected legally, you are going to have schools, universities
03:09and colleges are going to say, you want to come to this college, buddy, you're going
03:13to get vaccinated.
03:14Lady, you're going to get vaccinated.
03:16Big corporations like Amazon and Facebook and all of those others are going to say,
03:21you want to work for us, you get vaccinated.
03:24And it's been proven that when you make it difficult for people in their lives, they
03:30lose their ideological bullshit and they get vaccinated.

03:38Are all objections to COVID vaccinations, ideological bullshit, Dr. Fauci?
03:44No, they're not.
03:46And that's not what I was referring to.
03:47Well, in reference to making it hard for people to get education, traveling, working, I'd
03:53say it very much was in context.
03:56And I take great offense to this.
03:58Miss Allison Williams testified before this committee about losing her job because she
04:02sought an exemption for ESPN vaccine mandate, which came from recommendation from bureaucrats
04:07like yourself.
04:08She and her husband were actively working with a fertility expert, a physician on how
04:13to get pregnant and agreed with the premise that she was young, healthy, wanted to get
04:17pregnant and shouldn't get the vaccination for medical purposes.
04:22But she was fired because you made it hard, just like you said in your statement, because
04:27you didn't want to make sure that the ideological bullshit got in the way of her working, of
04:33living her life, of making a medical decision with her health care professional.
04:37I think Americans take great offense to this.
04:42That's exactly what you meant when you said making it hard for people to live without
04:46getting a vaccination.
04:47You affected people's ability to work, travel, be educated, to actually flourish in American
04:53society, to self-determine as we're all given God given rights.
04:58Shame on you.
04:59Dr. Fauci, you've become Dr. Fear.
05:03Americans do not hate science.
05:05I don't hate science.
05:06The American people hate having their freedoms taken from them.
05:11You inspired and created fear through mass mandates, school closures, vaccine mandates
05:16that have destroyed the American people's trust in our public health institutions.
05:21This fear you created will continue to have ripple effects over generations to come.
05:26You have already seen its effects in education, in the economy and everything else.
05:31Quite frankly, you said, if you disagree with me, you disagree with science.
05:37Dr. Fauci, I disagree with you because I disagree with fear.
05:43And with that, I yield.
