00:00One, two, three, please.
00:07Among the neighbors,
00:10this country wants to be known as a great country
00:14and Malaysia becomes an advanced country
00:17which is the stage of reading among the people,
00:21especially the younger generation.
00:25Therefore, although we sometimes
00:27feel nervous,
00:31anxious,
00:34because
00:36the interest in reading is decreasing.
00:39It is replaced by social media
00:42which then gives the news in one or two minutes.
00:47This is worrying.
00:49But in this country, we must raise it up again.
00:53Be brave to make a little step.
00:56And I thank the sponsors
01:01because this year,
01:03in the International Book Festival,
01:06not only are there many visitors,
01:08but in the first four days,
01:10the purchase of books has increased compared to the previous years.
01:16So, to the young people, I want to show
01:20that the interest in reading has increased.
01:21So, in the end,
01:24if possible,
01:26if possible,
01:29we will give back a little help
01:33for the so-called book voucher for students.
01:38If you don't clap, it means you didn't vote.
01:44Good.
01:46But, God willing,
01:48we can consider
01:49and
01:51maybe we can't give it all at once.
01:56I suggest that
01:58we pass
02:05Oh, I'm thinking.
02:09The problem is,
02:11when I think, I agree.
02:13When I think, I get dizzy.
02:15And when we pass,
02:16we don't have the space to find a full house.
02:18But, if it's for students,
02:23whether at a national school,
02:27or an Arab school,
02:29or a Chinese school,
02:30or a Tamil school,
02:32or a university,
02:34we can continue with
02:38the 100 ringgit book voucher.
02:43And
02:45for this year,
02:48we will start from level 4
02:52to reduce the pressure on the government.
02:56Level 4,
02:58primary school,
03:02secondary school,
03:05and university.
03:07And not only college,
03:09but also teachers and so on.
03:11But, I also suggest that
03:14when we go to scholarships,
03:16many books will be read.
03:18So, we will also provide guidance.
03:22So, we will provide a list of books
03:26so that some of the money
03:29will be used to buy the books that are chosen.
03:35And some of the money we give to the scholarships
03:37will be used for the children to choose.
03:41So, the children must read.
03:44We must revive the culture of education.
03:48The culture of reading.
03:50The culture of love for knowledge.
03:53And I want Malaysia,
03:56the city of Madani,
03:58to strengthen the economy,
04:00strengthen the culture,
04:02and raise our status as human beings
04:04who have morals
04:06and knowledge.
04:08Know how to speak well,
04:10love,
04:12and be loyal to our culture.
04:14But, we must acquire
04:17new knowledge
04:19that will determine
04:21if we can improve
04:23in terms of economy and development.
04:26So, starting tomorrow,
04:28at 2pm,
04:30the RM1 scholarship,
04:32we will start from level 4.
04:34We will start from level 4, God willing.
04:37Thank you once again, Surakhit,
04:39Ministers,
04:42and all social studies.
04:45What is important in the festival of books,
04:47nationalities and books,
04:49among this nation,
04:51is not the author,
04:53but the readers,
04:55the readers, God willing.
05:04Thank you.
