00:05 May 28th. Emergency service crews from the fire service were called in the early hours
00:09 of the morning to help tackle a blaze in East Sussex. At 10.09pm on Monday May 27th, crews
00:14 from East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service were called to a large vehicle fire in Pevensey.
00:20 Firefighters from Pevensey as well as Eastbourne and a technical rescue unit were in attendance
00:23 at the scene. Crews were then seen damping down as of 3.02am and thermal imaging cameras
00:28 were used to check for hot spots. Multiple police crews were called to attend an incident
00:35 at a home in East Sussex on Monday. Officers from Sussex Police were called to Laminda
00:38 Street in Brighton to an isolated incident. Police confirmed that officers will remain
00:42 in the area as enquiries continue. And finally, the Mayor of Eastbourne will be commemorating
00:48 the 80th anniversary of D-Day at local events on Thursday June 6th. People are invited to
00:53 attend a short ceremony outside the Town Hall at 9am when a D-Day 80 flag of peace will
00:57 be raised as the Mayor leads a minute's silence which will be followed by a short reading.
01:01 The flag will remain flying for a week. The Mayor will also be attending a D-Day remembrance
01:05 service at the Eastbourne War Memorial Houses in Victoria Drive at 11am. During the evening,
01:10 the Mayor will be taking part in the D-Day memorial event at Pevensey Castle which will
