00:00 Hello, welcome to your National Afternoon weather update from the Met Office. We saw
00:04 lively downpours yesterday but for today many of us seeing plenty of sunshine. So lots of
00:11 sunshine on offer across much of England and Wales and Northern Ireland. We still will
00:16 see some heavy showers breaking out especially across parts of South West Scotland and into
00:21 Cumbria. Some of these could perhaps contain the odd rumble of thunder too and perhaps
00:25 seeing the odd shower further south as well but a lot drier here compared to yesterday
00:32 and a lot of sunshine on offer. Further towards the north of Scotland though cloudier conditions
00:36 remain and especially across this north eastern coastline still holding on to that low cloud
00:42 and sea fog. So it is going to be feeling cooler here once again underneath that low
00:47 cloud but elsewhere where you see the sunshine highs of up to 24 possibly 25 degrees so feeling
00:54 very warm with temperatures above average for the time of year. So those showers across
00:59 parts of South West Scotland and Cumbria should generally ease. Many places seeing some late
01:04 evening sunshine but we will see a return of low cloud pushing in from the North Sea
01:09 and pushing its way further into western parts. Clearer skies at the further west that you
01:15 do go though and here it will turn a little bit chilly but underneath the clearest skies
01:19 across parts of Northern Ireland some mist and fog patches also developing. Elsewhere
01:24 towns and cities holding up at around 10 or 11 degrees. So a bit of a contrast in the
01:30 weather to start Monday morning a lot of low cloud murky gloomy weather to start but that
01:35 should generally lift and break and the cloud should retreat back to some coastlines so
01:40 a lot of sunshine on offer perhaps a little bit slower than what we saw today with the
01:45 melting of that cloud but otherwise a lot of dry weather sunny spells we will still
01:49 see some showers breaking out the focus for these are going to be across all western parts
01:54 of Northern Ireland where they could be heavy and once again perhaps with the odd rumble
01:58 of thunder but many places staying dry with sunny spells feeling a little bit cooler than
02:04 what we'll see today but underneath the sunshine still highs of up to 20 possibly 22 degrees
02:11 as well so feeling pleasantly warm still as we go through Monday evening again still the
02:16 focus for some heavy showers across western parts of Northern Ireland elsewhere a largely
02:21 dry night perhaps seeing the odd shower coming into the southeast of England but many places
02:27 staying dry with some clear spells as we go into Tuesday that's where we'll see the risk
02:32 of some heavier showers developing and as we go into Wednesday we've got this area of
02:36 low pressure moving up towards the north and east so bringing a focus for some perhaps
02:41 heavy rain and some stronger winds for a time as well but for more details on that make
02:47 sure you hit subscribe on YouTube so you don't miss a forecast and I'll catch you soon bye
02:51 bye.
