Drier and brighter today, particularly in central and southern England. 00:00 Good morning. It's a bit of a cloudy start for many of us but I think later on today
00:04 we'll see more of that dry, bright and fairly warm weather once again like we saw yesterday.
00:09 However, across north-western areas, particularly Northern Ireland, South-Western Scotland,
00:13 this area of north-west England too, there could be some quite persistent rain through
00:17 much of the day. That will likely push into parts of the western Highlands later on this
00:21 afternoon. Further east across Scotland, though it should stay dry for much of the day and
00:25 actually across the bulk of the UK, particularly Wales, Central and Southern England, we'll
00:30 see a good deal of sunshine later on. That cloud should break up quite nicely. The sunshine
00:35 will be fairly hazy though but it's strong enough to pick the temperatures up above 20
00:39 degrees. We could see 21 degrees across parts of the south-east. Now further west we've
00:44 got the south-westerly breeze. It's quite a brisk breeze and it's going to be dragging
00:47 cloud in across coastal areas. So parts of Wales, coastal areas of Wales, parts of the
00:52 south-west, also up anywhere across the Irish Sea coast, we'll likely see a bit more in
00:56 the way of cloud and those stronger winds. So it won't be quite as warm in these areas.
01:00 Now this band of rain that will have lingered across much of the north-west will slowly
01:04 sink southwards for Friday evening. It could bring a heavy spell of rain, also a gusty
01:08 spell as well. But once it does move southwards, it will turn a bit drier for a time for northern
01:14 areas of Scotland and Northern Ireland. But you can see some showers starting to develop,
01:18 some quite pokey showers as well. They'll become more of a feature throughout Saturday.
01:23 To the south of this sort of weak cloud and rain feature, we'll see quite a lot of cloud
01:27 forming once again for many southern areas of England, South Wales as well, perhaps some
01:32 drizzly rain on the coast. But it's still quite mild in these areas. So it's going to
01:35 be another mild night across the south and east. But actually to the north where it turns
01:40 clearer and we see those showers develop, that's where we see some colder air arrive
01:44 through Saturday morning. So it's going to be a much more different feel by Saturday
01:48 morning here. Now this band across central areas will sort of linger in these areas for
01:53 much of Saturday, but it'll likely push into parts of the Midlands, covering many areas
01:56 of northern England, parts of Wales through the day. That brings a risk of cloudier skies
02:01 and some light outbreaks of rain. To the south and east of that once again, that's where
02:05 it will remain fairly dry, if not a little cloudy, but temperatures still climbing to
02:09 the high teens here. But elsewhere across many northern areas of the UK, it's going
02:13 to turn much more unsettled and cooler. These showers that you can see will likely be quite
02:18 heavy, persistent. They bring a risk of hail. There's also going to be some quite strong
02:21 winds wrapped up around a little area of low pressure. Now that cooler and more unsettled
02:27 weather will become a little bit more widespread across the country through Sunday. However,
02:31 it should stay largely dry across the south. But you can keep up to date with all your

02:39 Bye-bye.
