00:00 Yeah, I took my first ground balls yesterday and it was a lot of fun.
00:04 It's playing pretty smooth.
00:05 I didn't really get as many as I wanted, but as the days go on,
00:10 I'll get here earlier, stay there after a little longer to see.
00:14 I'm a guy that goes about detail.
00:16 I'm very detail oriented.
00:18 I wanna take about 30 or 40 balls and just roll them down the line,
00:22 see how it plays on a bunt situation or see where the lip is,
00:26 how many times that ball hits the lip and is it gonna bounce high?
00:29 Is it gonna just glide through?
00:32 But yeah, it's playing smooth.
00:33 The surface is great.
00:35 It's a bigger ballpark than I expected.
00:37 I heard that it wasn't as big, but you gotta really hit it to get it out.
00:40 So it's gonna be a lot of first and third singles and a lot of exciting times.
00:46 But yeah, I'm very happy here and it's a beautiful indoor and outdoor facility.
00:51 >> Okay, so with that attention to detail, so much is made of that turf.
00:56 How can you liken it to anything?
01:00 Can you compare it to anything?
01:02 >> As of now, probably not.
01:05 I mean, I know the Diamondbacks have something sort of the same like that.
01:08 It's a lot quicker, but for me, I saw one ball yesterday that Heineman hit,
01:15 that really took off.
01:16 So I'm gonna have to get the coaches to kind of do like a live ground ball contest
01:21 for me at third base.
01:22 I'd like to do that just to see.
01:23 They're gonna have to crush it hard to see what kind of skip or glide it has.
01:27 And it is, it's gonna be a lot quicker like in Arizona as well.
01:31 So that's the one I can compare it to.
