00:00Yeah, that was a that was a big part of the conversation.
00:04I think it's something that was some of the most interesting and
00:08coolest part of the conversation because you have people who maybe
00:14are on one end of the spectrum and don't necessarily align with
00:18what Black Lives Matter has stood for recently and some of the actions.
00:24But they are 100% behind the movement that Black Lives Matter in this country
00:29there needs to be an emphasis on trying to help in that movement toward
00:35racial equality and social injustice is getting rid of them.
00:37So, like I said, it wasn't an easy conversation to have.
00:41But at the end of the day, it came down to we had,
00:47say we have 55 guys in the locker room and I don't know how many staff.
00:50Everybody was going in the same direction on this wanting to have
00:55a hand in the solution and wanting to be a part of the solution of how we
00:59can make this world a better place.
01:01And that's part of the reason why we wanted to do the video is we wanted to let
01:04people know that we mean it when we said politics aside, we mean it that came up
01:09in the meeting so many times about well when we say this or where this.
01:13This is the message we're putting out.
01:14And what we wanted to say was this word distancing ourself from those messages.
01:19We're speaking from the heart.
01:21And we're being passionate about what we believe in.
01:23And when we stand next to Willie and Taylor and crabbing in our teammates and
01:27staff of color and we say this guy's life matters, that's what we mean.
01:31And there was people of color who had strong opinions on the Black Lives Matter
01:36movement, good and bad.
01:38And I don't want to single anybody out because they're not here to actually say
01:41what they wanted to say.
01:42But when I say we had constructive talks and we got to this point as a group,
01:47we got to this point as a group.
01:48This was, it was pretty powerful.
01:50And I think it'll set us up going forward to really hopefully have an impact.
01:55But yeah, I mean, when I look at the statement, Black Lives Matter,
02:00I try to distance away from the group and connect it to the movement.
02:04And that's just my personal opinion, call it wrong, call it right.
02:09But do I believe that the lives of my black teammates matter?
02:12Absolutely, 100%.
