00:00 Well there was plenty of football action this weekend. The weekend just gone. The
00:04 Illawarra Premier League, the District League is back, the Julie Porter Cup as
00:07 well and of course the Wolves and the Stingrays were also on. There was plenty
00:11 of football but of course, Agron, it wasn't just football. What else were you
00:15 at at the weekend? It was quite a bit. There was the Shalhaba Sharks knockout.
00:19 So Group 7's Shalhaba Sharks had the second annual knockout which was great.
00:24 They had six teams competing. It was a great day and there was also, the
00:28 cricket was on in Illawarra and South Coast but importantly the Lake Illawarra
00:32 Cricket Club hosted a Pink Stumps Day and raised some much-needed funds for
00:37 the McGrath Foundation. Yeah of course that's a great initiative by Lake
00:41 Illawarra Cricket Club and of course tonight it continues, the Illawarra
00:44 Hawks. Can they beat New Zealand Agron? That's a million-dollar question. Let's
00:47 hope so. I think they can. I mean the Hawks have shown lately that they don't
00:53 have two bad games in them. They'll have a bad game and then they'll bounce back
00:56 and they need to and the works going to be full. It's going to be a great
00:59 atmosphere. Go the Hawks. Yeah it's going to be a great atmosphere tonight at the
01:03 Wynn Entertainment Centre and of course I mentioned earlier the football was
01:06 back. We saw Shalhaba, newly promoted Shalhaba get a win in their first game
01:11 in the Illawarra Premier League. I was at the Wolves yesterday. There was late
01:14 drama there. They had a one-all draw with St George. It looked for all money that
01:17 St George were going to win the game. They scored in the 83rd minute but then
01:20 Baderai Kanizumi with some heroics with his head in injury time. It was an
01:24 absolutely bumper action of Illawarra football and Illawarra sport. Be sure to
01:29 catch it all on illawarramercury.com.au/sport/ for all the
01:34 latest information on especially for the weekend sport just gone and for the
01:37 sport coming up.
