00:00 Hello everyone, Jordan Warren and Agron Latifi here from the Illawarra Mercury
00:03 here to talk through all things winter sport in the Illawarra over the weekend.
00:07 Agron, there was plenty happening. You're at the Illawarra rugby in the group 7.
00:09 First off, start with the rugby. Tell me where you were at on Saturday.
00:12 I was at Koyama Rugby Park, a very, very cold Koyama Rugby Park. Cold and blistery.
00:17 But yeah, there was a great game between Shell Haven and Koyama.
00:21 Unfortunately for Koyama, Shell Haven again, they just showed what a class
00:25 side they are and they took the points and had a very good win.
00:30 I also went to the group 7 on Sunday. The Sharks and Djeringong, they remain
00:39 undefeated. Sharks beat Koyama quite convincingly, I think it's 46-4.
00:43 Djeringong had a tougher time winning 18-4. But it just sets up a mouth-watering
00:50 game this weekend between the two unbeaten sides last year's grand finalists.
00:53 The Sharks will look to beat the Lions who beat them last year.
00:58 So it should be a great game.
01:00 Yeah, I was going to say, a massive game set up next week between the group 7
01:03 heavyweights, Djeringong and the Sharks. And of course, there was plenty of
01:06 football going on. I was at the Illawarra Premier League on Sunday.
01:09 A fiery game between Cringilla and Wollongong Olympic 3-2, Cringilla won in
01:13 the end. Of course, a massive win away for George Dermatov's side.
01:17 Of course, the Wolves unfortunately went down 2-1 to Manly.
01:19 And of course, we can't forget the Dragons. Of course, they had the bye this
01:23 week in the NRL, just gone in a magic round in Brisbane. But the week before,
01:27 they got a good win against the Rabbitohs and they're coming up against an
01:30 unknown Bulldogs side, you'd have to say, on Thursday night at a core stadium.
01:33 Yeah, I'd say unknown. The Bulldogs looked like they were fighting for four.
01:38 But then against Canberra, they had a great chance to win that game and they
01:42 didn't. But the Dragons, they're going okay, 5-5. So it should be a great game.
01:48 Yeah, there we have it. Head to illawarramercury.com.au/sport/ for all the
